
Capcom may have played the perfect April Fool’s Day prank on fans eagerly awaiting their sci-fi shooter, Pragmata.
There’s been a popular theory for a while that this game isn’t actually new, but is secretly a Mega Man game in disguise.
People are noticing clues that suggest this is happening, particularly related to Hugh’s robotic partner, Diana.
Considering she’s a robot, with her blue coat and unique sleeves, and given the game’s story about a machine-controlled moon base, it all seems to fit together, doesn’t it?
Capcom has officially stated that rumors connecting Pragmata to Mega Man are false. They insist the two games are unrelated.
Interestingly, the publisher appears to be acknowledging the fan theory, and even playfully referenced it with a recent post on social media.
The joke sparked amusing responses from fans, with many hoping Hugh’s Mega Man costume will actually be added to the game.
It’s uncertain if it will actually happen, but it would be a cool way to acknowledge fan theories if Capcom includes some hidden references to Mega Man.
