Capcom Wants You to Design a Mega Man: Dual Override Boss Who Sucks

Capcom revealed a new Mega Man game at The Game Awards 2025, as many of you likely heard.

Even though Mega Man: Dual Override isn’t scheduled to release until 2027, fans are already participating in a creative design contest.

Capcom is hosting a design contest, and the winning entry will be included in the finished game.

The official Mega Man: Dual Override website announced that they are now accepting entries for a Robot Master design contest! They’re searching for creative designs of a Robot Master with a powerful suction ability in their right arm. If you’re a Mega Man fan, submit your artwork for a chance to have your creation battle Mega Man in the game and become a legend!

The publisher has a starting concept for a boss in Dual Override, featuring a unique attack: an arm that acts like a powerful vacuum cleaner, sucking things in.

From now until January 1st, 2026 at 11:59pm PST, please create and share your own drawing of this character. You can submit your artwork on X (formerly Twitter).

Capcom will review all submissions and select the top 20 designs to move forward. Then, the public will vote to narrow it down to six finalists. Finally, Capcom will choose the overall winner from those six.

As mentioned, the winning design will be the one used in the game itself.

Capcom has made it clear that entries which violate copyright, copy someone else’s work, or are created using AI will not be accepted.

This is a great chance to contribute to the new game! If you’re interested, you can submit your work to Capcom anytime between now and January 1st.
