I’ve been so hyped for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls ever since I saw the trailer! It looks like the game will have five different teams, each led by a central character. We already knew Captain America would be one of those leaders, probably putting together a team of really heroic types to deal with this huge cosmic threat and tournament. But, some stuff leaked online, and it looks like Cap’s team might be a crazy mix of characters from some of the most famous groups in Marvel history!
In Marvel’s Tōkon: Fighting Souls, two teams have been revealed so far: The Unbreakable X-Men and The Amazing Guardians. The X-Men are led by Storm and include Wolverine, Magik, and Danger. Spider-Man leads The Amazing Guardians, a brand new team featuring Star-Lord, Peni Parker, and Ms. Marvel. Because Spider-Man’s team is made up of characters from different backgrounds, we can expect other teams to be equally surprising and unique.
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls May Have Members Of The Fantastic Four On An Avengers Team

With more characters being teased for Marvel’s new fighting game, fans are closely watching for any news about who will be playable. Recent leaks have shown logos for different teams, including one associated with Captain America, leading many to believe that team will be revealed next in Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls. Before the reveal of The Amazing Guardians, most fans expected this next team to be a standard Avengers lineup, with Captain America teaming up with familiar heroes like Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye, and Iron Man (who is already confirmed).
As a big Marvel fan, I’ve been noticing something really interesting about the new Captain America team logo! It’s not just the usual Avengers ‘A’. Apparently, there’s been talk online – and even some leaks – suggesting that Cap’s team might actually include the Fantastic Four, who are also based in New York. And if you look closely at the logo shown in Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, it looks like it’s cleverly combining both the Avengers and Fantastic Four symbols into one! It’s a cool hint that these two groups could be teaming up.
The placement of Avengers Tower and the Baxter Building near each other in the New York stage of Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls has led fans to speculate about a possible crossover. Players might see Captain America team up with members of the Fantastic Four – specifically, The Human Torch, The Thing, Mr. Fantastic, or The Invisible Woman. Currently, many believe The Human Torch and The Thing are the most probable choices, as Reed and Sue Richards aren’t typically known for their combat abilities alongside a WWII-era hero like Captain America.
Revealed Team Synergies Support A Mix-And-Match Approach To The Fighting Game’s Roster

Spider-Man’s team in Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls is pioneering a new approach to team building. It brings together heroes from different Marvel groups – like street-level heroes Spider-Man and Ms. Marvel, Spider-People from across the multiverse (Spider-Man and Peni Parker), and the cosmic fun of Star-Lord. This shows that teams in the game can freely mix characters who wouldn’t normally fight together.
If the recent leaks about the Fantastic Four are accurate, Captain America might lead a new team including Iron Man and two members of the Fantastic Four. Fans are already calling this potential group “The Fantastic Avengers,” and it would be a unique way to combine popular characters from different Marvel teams within the game.
As a fan, I’m really excited about the possibility of the Fantastic Four being in this new fighting game! It’s a big deal because they’ve never been in any of the Marvel vs. Capcom games, so it would really set this one apart. Whether the leaks are true or not, a team-up featuring the Fantastic Four – maybe even called ‘Fantastic Avengers’ – could be amazing for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls. It would give us a chance to see characters who haven’t really gotten to show off in a fighting game before, and I think that could be really special.
We’re curious to hear what you think about the possibility of an Avengers and Fantastic Four team-up in Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls! Share your thoughts in the comments or discuss it with other fans in the ComicBook Forum.
