Captivating Historical Italian Adventure Becomes PS5 Console Exclusive to ‘Deliver the Best Experience’

Sedleo, an Italian game developer, has decided to no longer release 1348 Ex Voto on Xbox. They want to concentrate their resources on making the game as good as it can be for players on PC and PlayStation.

The game will essentially be exclusive to the PlayStation 5, not because of any funding from Sony, but because the developers want to reach the largest possible audience for their story-driven game.

The new film, releasing on March 12th, tells the story of Aeta in 14th-century Italy and her search for her friend, Bianca. Bianca will be played by Jennifer English, known for her role in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

The press release reads:

So, I’m really excited about this new indie game I heard about. You play as Aeta, a young knight who’s basically on a quest to become a full-fledged knight and save this princess named Bianca. It’s not gonna be easy, though! She’ll have to deal with all sorts of trouble – crazy religious fanatics, bandits wandering around, and tough mercenaries. And to make things even worse, there’s this awful plague spreading, and it’s really starting to fall apart the world around her. It sounds intense!

Okay, so I just watched the story trailer, and honestly, this game really gives me vibes from both A Plague Tale: Innocence and Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. You can definitely see where the developers drew inspiration from those two titles.

When the game launches, there will be two options: a Standard Edition for £21.99/$24.99 and a Deluxe Edition for £25.99/$29.99. The Deluxe Edition comes with a digital art book, which is a nice bonus given how beautiful the game is – though some people prefer having physical art books.

Despite some reservations about the gameplay, we’re interested in this new release, primarily because of its promising story.
