Cara Delevingne‘s dress for the Vanity Fair Oscars party is a work of art… literally.
At the 2026 Oscars afterparty on March 15th, a supermodel caused a sensation in a bold Thom Browne Spring 2026 dress. The gown was notable for its painted abdominal muscles and embellished nipples.
The dress was striking, not ordinary. The top was sheer with long sleeves, covered in black, red, and white rhinestones and sequins arranged to look like a sculpted bare chest. It was paired with a simple, long black skirt.
Cara completed her outfit with black high heels and sparkly diamond earrings. She styled her hair in a bun, with her bangs neatly swept to the side. (Find photos of all the stars at the 2026 Oscars here.)
Cara Delevingne often experiments with bold fashion choices. She recently made a striking transformation last May, debuting dark black hair and straight-across bangs at the premiere of her movie, The History of Sound.
Two years before this, Cara stunned everyone with another bold makeover at London Fashion Week. She swapped her usual bob for a bright mohawk, covering it in every color imaginable. Her bangs were dyed pink, the top was a striking neon green, and the middle section featured a colorful leopard print.
The model is quite adventurous with their style, and has been seen in a wide range of outfits, including bold colors, leather looks, and even sleek, body-hugging catsuits.
But for Cara, keeping that playfulness with her style is the most important thing.
She told Vogue in September 2024 that she enjoys experimenting with her look. She explained that she still feels young at heart and loves the playful side of fashion, like trying out different characters or styles just for fun.

The Paper Towns alum also swears by one rule when it comes to fashion.
In a July 2023 interview with ELLE UK, she shared her main style philosophy: if you love what you’re wearing, that’s all that matters. She believes clothing should make you feel good, and you shouldn’t worry about what others think. In fact, she joked that no one truly understands fashion anyway.
