As a seasoned cinephile who’s had the privilege of traversing the rich tapestry of cinema for decades, I must say that Carl Lumbly‘s career is nothing short of inspiring. His versatility, from voicing characters in Family Guy to donning the Marvel suit as Isiaih Bradley, is truly commendable.
Actor Carl Lumbly boasts a prolific career spanning more than 100 roles, ranging from Family Guy to the Marvel Universe, where he portrays Isaiah Bradley in Captain America, and is set to appear in the eagerly awaited fourth installment of that series titled Brave New World.
In this latest production I’m excited about, I find myself teaming up with Mike Colter, portraying the character Charlie Walker. This isn’t just any film; it’s a true-to-life tale that follows a man in dire straits who uses his charisma and intellect to challenge a racially biased San Francisco corporation back in 1971.
We had a conversation with Carl, discussing the movie, his personal stories from the 1970’s, and also shared experiences working alongside Marvel co-star Mike Colter.
