Cartoon Network Revival Recreates Goofy Villain as Terrifying Nightmare

Cartoon Network often brings back popular shows, and this week marked the return of Mordecai and Rigby in Regular Show: The Lost Tapes. Other shows that have been revived include Adventure Time, The Powerpuff Girls, and Total Drama Island. Recently, a major action series returned with a new look. A preview of the reboot shows one of Ben Tennyson’s most iconic enemies appearing more frightening than ever before.

I’m really excited about what Dynamite Comics is doing with the new Ben 10 comic reboot! The first issue already sold out, which is fantastic. They’re doing some cool things with the characters, like a fresh take on Grandpa Max. But what really caught my eye is how they’re reimagining Zombozo! You might remember him – he was one of Ben’s earliest villains, this creepy clown who used a machine to steal people’s life force. Well, the cover for issue four shows a completely new, seriously terrifying version of him, and honestly, it looks amazing! I can’t wait to see this killer clown debut in the future issues.

Ben 10’s Whacky Antagonist

If you’re not familiar with him, Zombozo first showed up in the first season of Ben 10, in an episode called “Last Laugh.” While the original clown was a bit creepy, he’s nothing compared to the truly terrifying version coming in the Dynamite Comic. Like many of Ben’s enemies, Zombozo reappeared in later Ben 10 cartoons, sometimes with updated looks. Interestingly, Zombozo was voiced by two very famous voice actors.

When the villain Zombozo debuted in Ben 10, John Kassir provided the voice. Kassir is a well-known voice actor, famous for roles like Roger Rabbit and the Cryptkeeper from Tales From The Crypt. Later in the Ben 10 series, veteran voice actor John Dimaggio took over the role. Dimaggio is also widely recognized as the voice of Bender in Futurama and Jake in Adventure Time, and he even played the Joker in the acclaimed animated film, Batman: Under the Red Hood. Currently, Cartoon Network hasn’t announced any plans for a new Ben 10 series, but given the franchise’s popularity, a return to television isn’t out of the question.
