Cassie Ventura is back on social media.
On August 7th, the singer of “Me & U” resumed activity on Instagram, marking almost three months since the arrival of her and husband Alex Fine’s third child, and also following her testimony in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal court case.
On her Instagram Stories, she reposted a video showing a man temporarily halting his dance, originally shared by the account @momswithplans. The caption accompanying the video humorously stated, “As your pre-baby self gradually reemerges after childbirth.
Ventura added in the comments, “Factual. Little by little. lol.”
On May 27, the 38-year-old woman gave birth to a son, nine days following her testimony in a New York City courtroom about her tumultuous, off-and-on romance spanning over a decade with Combs.
At the court hearing, Ventura claimed that Combs coerced her into attending drug-fueled events labeled “freak offs,” where he hired prostitutes for these activities. She further asserted that the musician had warned her he would disclose video recordings of their past intimate moments if she declined his demands.
As a devoted admirer, I’d confess that Sean held significant sway over every aspect of my existence – be it professional pursuits, intimate moments, or simply everyday life. This revelation comes from my court testimony on May 13th, as reported by NBC News.
Upon Ventura concluding her testimony on May 16th, her spouse commended her “courage and fortitude” when confronting Combs during her nine-month pregnancy. As Fine expressed in a statement read by Ventura’s attorney outside the courthouse, “I have felt immense pride and powerful emotions of love for Cass. I have felt seething rage that she has been compelled to endure facing someone who attempted to break her.
On July 2nd, Combs was declared guilty for two offenses related to facilitating prostitution but was cleared of charges involving sex trafficking and racketeering. The music executive, who has been imprisoned since his September 2024 arrest, will face sentencing later this year in October.
Despite the jury failing to convict Combs of sex trafficking Cassie, his attorney Ventura’s representative, Doug Wigdor, stated to TopMob News that Cassie’s testimony helped set the stage for a jury to find him guilty of transporting someone for prostitution. In doing so, Cassie has made an indelible impact on both the entertainment industry and the pursuit of justice.

In July, Judge Arun Subramanian set Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sentencing date for October 3, 2025. However, Subramanian refused Combs’ plea for release on bail before the sentencing, as he believed that Combs’ history of violent behavior warranted his continued imprisonment.
As a dedicated follower, I’m sharing an update: Combs, previously accused of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking, including with Cassie Ventura and Jane, was found not guilty on those charges. However, he was convicted for transporting them for prostitution purposes. Following these verdicts, the singer’s legal team has responded to the decision.
The criminal proceedings began when our client Cassie Ventura bravely submitted her civil claim in November 2023, as stated by Douglas Wigdor to TopMob News in a July 2 statement. Although the jury didn’t convict Combs of sex trafficking Cassie, they found him guilty of transporting someone for prostitution. By sharing her experience, Cassie has made a lasting impact on both the entertainment world and the pursuit of justice.
As a steadfast advocate for my client, I reiterate without hesitation – I wholeheartedly stand by them. Their unwavering bravery throughout the trial is truly commendable. Regarding the allegations against them, they maintain their innocence as they pleaded not guilty.
Furthermore, Wigdor commended Ventura for her diligence, as she was among the 34 witnesses testifying during the 29-day trial of Combs.
He went on to say that she showed undeniable resilience, shining a light on the truths about influential men in our circle and the misbehavior that has gone unpunished for many years. This situation confirmed that change is urgently needed, and we will keep advocating for survivors.
When informed that he was cleared on three out of five counts in his federal trial, Combs, who potentially could have been sentenced to life imprisonment if found guilty across all charges, knelt and bowed his head over a chair in a manner reminiscent of prayer, as reported by NBC News correspondents present in the courtroom.
According to the news report, Combs’ relatives were present in the courtroom, applauding and celebrating the outcome for the music entrepreneur. His defense lawyers embraced one another, while Combs himself hugged his attorney Brian Steel.
On the 2nd of July, the jury of twelve individuals reached a decision on the five federal charges against Combs in his sex trafficking trial. After three days of deliberations, they found him guilty on two counts: transportation for prostitution involving his ex-girlfriend Ventura and an individual known as “Jane.
In the trial, Combs was acquitted on one charge of racketeering conspiracy and two charges related to sex trafficking, as he had maintained his innocence for all accusations made against him.
On the eve of rendering their decisions, the jury informed U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian that they couldn’t agree on the racketeering charge because of deeply entrenched opposing views. Judge Subramanian then urged the jurors to persist in their discussions. A verdict was finally reached shortly after deliberations commenced the following day.
Lawyer Christy Slavik took approximately five hours to present her concluding statements to the jury, where she emphasized that Sean “Diddy” Combs employed power, threats, and intimidation to achieve his goals.
She stated that he never accepts a ‘no’,” and “His domain was such that everyone catered to his needs.”
These paraphrased sentences maintain the original meaning while sounding more natural and easy to read.
Slavik highlighted two instances: the 2016 physical attack on his former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, as well as an alleged attack in 2024, with the latter’s identity being referred to as “Jane” during the court proceedings.
Although these events happened eight years apart, they aren’t distinct narratives, she explained. Instead, they can be seen as consecutive chapters in the same book, chronicling the life of Sean Combs and his criminal organization that consisted of his closest associates.
Repeatedly, this criminal organization catered to the defendant’s every whim using a systematic approach of violence, intimidation, and manipulation,” she emphasized. “The defendant believed his influence – his reputation, wealth, and power – would shield him from legal scrutiny, relying on secrecy and shame to conceal his wrongdoings.
In simpler terms, Slavik asserted that during this trial, Combs was supported by a dedicated team of personnel, whose primary goal was to cater to his needs, boost his influence, and shield his reputation, no matter the cost.
The defense team presented a court document asking to revise certain aspects of their arguments for attempted arson and kidnapping charges.
Despite Combs continuing to grapple with the same charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking, which encompass allegations of kidnapping and arson, prosecutors stated in their June 24 letter that they had “eliminated instructions from the charge pertaining to attempted kidnapping under both California and New York law, attempted arson under California law, and aiding and abetting sex trafficking.
The government expressed its expectation that making the language simpler not only facilitates clarity and efficiency in instructions, but also prevents potential misunderstandings.
Combs told JudgeSubramanian that he will not take the stand during his sex trafficking trial.
The judge underscored that neither the rap tycoon nor the jury could infer or presume his guilt based solely on his choice not to testify.
Combs made it clear that the choice not to testify was “entirely” his own personal decision, after discussing it with his team.
After much deliberation, I’ve made up my mind about it – it’s my call, and I’m standing by it,” I told the judge, as an enthusiastic fan might express.
Teny Garagos, the defense attorney for Combs, informed the judge that both teams – defense and prosecution – anticipate spending “a minimum of four hours” each in presenting their final arguments.
After Special Agent Joseph Cerciello from Homeland Security completed his extended testimony for the prosecution on June 24, it’s now the defense’s turn to present their case. In contrast to calling additional witnesses, Combs’ legal team plans to concentrate on the previously submitted evidence instead.
On June 23, the jury viewed graphic videos during Ceriello’s testimony, which seemed to originate from Combs’ infamous “brawls,” and these videos were subsequently admitted as evidence in the trial.
In a different phrasing: The special agent pointed out that he found 50 overt videos dating back to both 2021 and 2022. During the trial, the jurors were presented with two files on their headphones and screens for viewing.
In the voicemails left for his ex-chief of staff Kristina Khorram on June 23, Combs outlined a particular set of demands during his stay at a hotel in November 2021. Among these requests were re-stocking baby oil, an item he frequently needed for “freak offs.
He told Khorram, “Give me a call when you’re heading over,” and regarding the second part, it might be more appropriate to say, “I can’t believe I ran out. Let’s put 20 bottles inside.
In response to Khorram requesting an extra day at the hotel, she simply said, “Sure thing. The baby oil is just outside our door.
Through a group text conversation, it was revealed that his ex-employee had mentioned planning an intravenous drip for both him and Jane, which he apparently utilized during at least one of his post-party recoveries.
She also made sure that there were Plan-B pills, an emergency contraceptive, in his nightstand.
The jurors got to see a sequence of text conversations between Combs and Ventura, where the “Long Way 2 Go” artist openly discussed the negative impact she claimed her alleged mistreatment had on her life.
In March 2017, Combs asked Ventura, who he had an on-off relationship with from 2007 to 2018, if she fancied a break. She responded, “No, I don’t want to endure being belittled for standing up or any time. You make me feel insignificant.
In another instance, she further accused her ex of physically assaulting her.
Ventura wrote to him in May, expressing that he was showering him with love, but as soon as he momentarily looked away, the other person caused chaos. He was 30 years old at the time. Ventura conveyed that this situation was no longer a game, and he felt lifeless the previous night, not because he was experiencing it himself, but because witnessing his radiance was so captivating.
Brendan Paul, who worked as an assistant for Combs from 2022 to 2024, testified that he bought illegal substances like marijuana, 2C, cocaine, ketamine, and ecstasy for his boss on several occasions.
According to Paul, our method involved sending messages to the drug dealer, who would then visit one of our homes as a result. He explained that he got acquainted with these individuals primarily via text messages or phone conversations.
However, Paul vehemently denied being a “drug mule” for the rap mogul.
On June 18, Judge Subramanian paused the courtroom proceedings as one of the primary jurors was absent due to sickness. The court was also closed on June 19, observing Juneteenth.
The judge stated that one of our jurors is unwell and had to return home due to dizziness, which we were informed by their partner. Unfortunately, this juror is a member of our regular panel, so it seems we cannot proceed with the trial today.
The judge acknowledged that it’s uncertain if the juror’s spell of vertigo, characterized by feelings of dizziness, nausea, headaches, and additional symptoms, is short-lived or a prolonged condition. However, they plan to keep an eye on the development.
On June 19, since the court wasn’t holding sessions for Juneteenth, Judge Subramanian announced that the trial would reconvene on June 20, with a condensed session spanning from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Immediately following Judge Subramanian’s decision to dismiss Juror No. 6 due to inconsistencies about their residence, another jury member is now potentially facing dismissal due to an alleged inappropriate discussion about the case with a previous coworker. The individual under scrutiny was called upon by the judge for questioning and subsequently handed over their phone for examination, as reported by NBC News.
By the conclusion of the court session on June 16, no determination about the member’s termination had yet been reached.
On June 13th, Kanye West showed up at the New York City courthouse to back up Combs. Notably known for his hit song “Stronger”, he spent approximately half an hour inside the building but didn’t step foot into the courtroom itself. The principal room was exclusively reserved for Combs’ family, legal team, media, and spectators who patiently queued for hours in hopes of snagging a seat.
Jane remembered having a disagreement with them following her vacation to Las Vegas, where she traveled with another hip-hop artist and his spouse.
As a fervent admirer, I can’t help but recount an intriguing incident that unfolded when I found myself in the company of Anton, a professional acquaintance we frequently engaged, and Diddy (Combs) during our getaway. This rendezvous took an unexpected turn as we witnessed a group observing Anton engaging intimately with a lady in a hotel room. The experience, I must admit, sparked an obsession with sexual voyeurism within me.
Jane communicated to Geragos, Combs’ lawyer, that the rap tycoon was displeased following allegations about her presence at another man’s “wild party.
21st day of the Combs’ trial, Maurene Comey, an assistant U.S. attorney, disclosed that they aim to dismiss one of the 12 jurors.
She shared with Judge Subramanian, prior to the jury’s entrance into the New York City courtroom, that they had been quite hesitant about including this in their letter. This seemed like an absence of honesty towards the court, which presented significant concerns for them.
Lawyer Alexandra Shapiro, mentioning that Juror Number 6 belongs to the black members of the jury, requested a day or two to “compose written responses” and “review relevant legal precedents.
In response, Judge Subramanian stated that he would “defer making arrangements” concerning the juror until a decision has been reached.
On June 10, Jane found herself embroiled in a heated discussion with Garagos, during which he implied that the witness was involved in exchanging intimate relations for high-end items.
Lawyer Geragos reviewed text conversations between Jane and Combs dating back to November 2021, where it appeared that the witness felt troubled because Combs was involved with other women. The messages indicated that she inquired about whether Combs had given another woman a Chanel bag following their encounter.
Jane said that she didn’t get a Chanel purse from Combs, telling Garagos that she “got trauma.”
When the attorney asked what a Bottega bag was, she replied, “I’m sure you have one.”
And when Geragos asked how much the item costs, Jane asked, “How much does my body cost?”
Jane was granted a 10-minute break following the exchange.
Jane stated that by approximately 2022, she perceived Combs as an individual who derived satisfaction from witnessing their shared intimacy with someone else, following her exploration of their romantic relationship dynamics online.
She explained that her research helped her gain a better insight into the subject,” or “Her reason for conducting the research was to delve deeper into understanding why they found such joy in witnessing their partner with other men.
The witness speculated that Combs might have been exploring his sexuality, as his preference for “hotel nights” seemed strikingly similar to Ventura’s “freak offs.
She stated, “Those individuals might harbor a genuine curiosity they feel embarrassed about expressing personally. Instead, they may employ a woman as an intermediary to explore this curiosity without physically engaging in the action themselves.
Jane stated that she referred to Paul, an escort they frequently hired along with Combs, as “Trifecta.” This was due to her likening their intimate relationship to the exceptional basketball performance of star players.
“I was Kobe Bryant and Paul was Shaq [O’Neil],” she told jurors. “Combs was Michael Jordan.”
She characterized Paul as “very kind,” mentioning that if she had no other choice, it was at least comforting that the encounters with escorts involved someone who had a pleasant aura.
Jane stated that the relationship between Combs and Khorram was a source of disagreement or conflict in her romantic involvement with the hip-hop entrepreneur.
Jane mentioned that Khorram was constantly by her side, stating it strained their relationship. She suspects Khorram harbored intense emotions towards her, which significantly impacted the way Sean interacted with her.
On June 10, Judge Subramanian rejected a request for a mistrial from Combs’ legal team, who claimed that Ventura and her friend Bryana Bongolan had falsely accused the rap mogul of dangling her over a 17th-floor balcony.
In their latest court submission, his legal team alleged that the prosecution engaged in “unprofessional behavior” by presenting false or dishonest testimony during the trial.
The letter states that during the trial, the government provided evidence that was likely falsified regarding the allegation that Mr. Combs endangered Bryana Bongolan by hanging her over the balcony of Cassie Ventura’s apartment in September 2016. To prevent an unfair verdict based on potentially fraudulent evidence, the court should consider declaring a mistrial.
Jane alleged that the rap mogul had beaten her for hours June 2024.
Jane stated that she and Combs engaged in an argument because he was reportedly spending time with a young woman who was significantly younger than him. This, according to Jane, resulted in her labeling him as a “predator” and forcibly shoving his head against a marble kitchen countertop.
The witness stated that she sought refuge in the main bedroom, and then Combs forcefully broke open the door by kicking it. (Evidence was presented in the form of photos showing a damaged door.) She claimed that as she attempted to flee, the founder of Bad Boy Records kicked her on the back of her thigh, causing her to fall.
She explained to the prosecutor that he had her pinned down with a chokehold, lifting her off the ground. Despite being on my tiptoes, I struggled to breathe and managed to convey that I was attempting to break free from his hold.
Jane shared that she darted out of the house, concealed herself behind a wall outside for nearly two hours, hoping he would depart, but he didn’t. Later on, she recounted that they went back to his residence, where she huddled in the backyard as a means of self-protection, with Combs reportedly assaulting her.
Jane claims that the argument intensified when it’s alleged Combs struck her, as she described to the court: ‘He began hitting my head. He started kicking me. He was spewing various abusive words and continued to hit me.’
She alleged that he told her that she was “trying to take him away from his kids and his family.”
She testified that when she said, “I’m not going, please leave me alone, stop,” he forcefully took hold of her arm and hair, pulling her back towards the house against her will.
Following the reported incident, Jane stated that she noticed two swellings approximately the size of golf balls on her forehead, along with a blackened eye.
Jane reported that Homeland Security conducted a raid on her home, a property financed by Combs in March 2023, as well as several other homes belonging to the mogul. She disclosed that agents visited her house, prompting her to contact Combs’ head of security about the incident.
In December 2023, it was claimed that the mogul had threatened to expose explicit videos of themselves, intending to share them with Jane’s baby’s father.
As Jane and Combs’ relationship worsened, she claimed he expressed that there was “no more to lose” by sharing the videos. She later stated, “There were continuous stressful phone calls.
Jane sent a message to Khorram regarding the incident, which was subsequently admitted as evidence. In the messages, Jane stated that Combs had threatened to share the video, where she claimed she was under heavy influence of drugs.
In addition, she mentioned needing some distance from Combs due to her efforts to process all the distressing experiences he had inflicted upon her.
Jane told the court that Khorram assured her that Combs would not use the footage.
During her testimony, Jane stated that certain aspects of Ventura’s lawsuit from November 2023, which eventually reached a settlement, seemed to align with her personal encounters involving Combs.
She shared with the jury that she came very close to losing consciousness, and she believes she actually did faint. She also mentioned there were three particular pages that described her ordeal in a heart-wrenching way.
Jane, after experiencing the “hotel nights,” expressed feeling as if she were living her own narrative. This sensation prompted her to exchange text messages with Combs in an effort to address certain matters directly.
She expressed her feelings as follows: “Reading the details of Ventura’s lawsuit reminded me too much of my own sexual trauma. I’m feeling unwell. It’s almost verbatim, filled with drug-fueled days and nights. You were aware this was a possibility, you manipulated me, you drove me to the brink of insanity.
I was absolutely appalled, finding myself compelled to comply with one situation after another. You pushed me to the brink of madness, causing me to relive traumatic sexual experiences. I feel deeply violated and used. What you’ve done is a form of sexual exploitation.
Later, Jane was unaware that a conversation between them was being recorded by Combs. This recording, presented as evidence, contained him saying “we did these actions together” and expressing his need for her to be present “at that particular time.
Hello there! In an unexpected turn of events, I found myself feeling quite uneasy, almost nauseous, upon perusing Ventura’s documents, a sensation I hadn’t anticipated.
Jane shared that during the “Hotel Nights” with Combs and male escorts, she typically used ecstasy. However, on one particular occasion, she chose not to consume any drugs before engaging in a sexual encounter with three different men.
She stated that she spent the evening with several gentlemen. Later on, she became ill and vomited. At this point, Sean entered the scene and assured her that fresh air would make her feel better. He suggested they step outside together.
Jane said that at the end of the night, she felt “absolutely terrible.”
On the 18th day of the trial, on June 7th, Combs’ legal representatives submitted a request for a mistrial. They claimed that Ventura and Bongolan had lied about Bongolan being suspended over a 17th-floor balcony by the rap tycoon.
As an ardent admirer, I find myself compelled to express my thoughts. In this intricate legal saga, lawyers for Combs, whose initial plea for a mistrial was dismissed by Judge Subramanian, have leveled accusations against the prosecution team. They claim that the prosecution has engaged in “misconduct” and presented “perjured testimony,” which is a grave violation of truth and justice in a courtroom setting.
In this court case, evidence provided by the government suggesting that Mr. Combs endangered Bryana Bongolan by dangling her from Cassie Ventura’s balcony in September 2016 may have been fraudulent or misleading. To ensure a fair trial and prevent an unjust conviction, it is recommended that the judge declares a mistrial.
In a turn of events, the defense has implicated Bongolan for fabricating details about the incident, citing some questionable discrepancies in her account. On June 9th, the prosecution is set to counter these claims, and the judge will deliver his decision the following day.
Jane confirmed that starting from April 2023, which was already two years into their relationship, P. Diddy started covering her home rent expenses. This arrangement has continued up until now. She also mentioned that they had previously agreed a month before, in March 2023, that he would offer her a monthly allowance.
That particular night at the hotel is vivid in my memory, as it’s where Sean presented a sort of ‘relationship agreement’ or ‘love contract’ between us,” she explained to the jury. “In other words, he was expressing his intention to provide me with a regular allowance and asking what I desired for it.
month, just moving forward, that’s what he was going to do for me.”
She shared that when she mentioned a 15,000 allowance, he responded with a 10,000 figure. After searching for new homes, she moved into a bigger and more spacious place within her budget. This new home was not just a physical space, but also a symbol of balance in their relationship; a place where she could retreat to and find peace, reciprocating the love she had been giving him with a tangible gesture.
Jane claimed that, according to the contract, she was entitled to receive money “without any haste or coercion, for a period of two years.
