Castlevania… is back! And fortunately, it looks like it’s back with some serious style.
As a huge Castlevania fan, I’m really excited about Belmont’s Curse! It’s a new game that’s sticking to the classic style we all love. What’s even cooler is that Konami is working with some amazing developers – Evil Empire and Motion Twin, who you might know from Dead Cells and The Rogue Prince of Persia – to bring it to life.
This first look at the game is really impressive! We see the new main character, a redhead, fighting her way through some challenging and exciting environments. Plus, players will finally get to wield a powerful whip – it’s a welcome addition!
The press release reveals:
In medieval Paris, as the bells signal a time of doom, the year 1499 brings fiery chaos. Monstrous creatures rise from the darkness, and a new Vampire Killer, descended from the legendary Trevor Belmont, must brave the burning city and a terrifying castle to hunt them down, wielding the powerful holy whip.
Get ready for exciting, fast-paced movement – think of swinging like a trapeze artist! Beyond that, the game features a diverse range of weapons, all designed to add depth and strategy to the battles.
You can also look forward to familiar Castlevania features, including hidden rooms, interesting characters, and plenty of adventure. Konami says this is just the beginning, with more new Castlevania games planned for the future.
Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse is coming to PS5 later this year, and we’re curious to hear your thoughts on this new version. Share your opinions in the comments!
