If you were planning to watch the medical drama Casualty on BBC One tonight (February 21st), unfortunately, it’s not airing.
The soap is taking somewhat of a mid-series break, to accommodate sports coverage by the channel.
Interestingly, the delay isn’t due to the Winter Olympics, but rather coverage of the Wales versus Scotland Six Nations rugby match.
The broadcast starts at 4pm, and the game will begin at 4:40pm. Gabby Logan and John Inverdale will provide commentary for this third-round match, which is taking place at Principality Stadium.

Tonight’s TV lineup has some real highlights! After the early showings, we’ve got the action-packed ‘Gladiators’ at 7:15, followed by a dose of comedy with ‘Michael McIntyre’s Big Show’ at 8:15. Then, I’m really looking forward to the premiere of ‘The Walsh Sisters’ at 9:15 – it’s a new drama adapted from Marian Keyes’s popular novels, and I’ve heard great things. Of course, the news will round out the evening.
Fear not, Casualty will return to our screens next week (28 February).
The emergency department at Holby City Hospital is under pressure as Dr. Flynn Byron braces for an inspection by the Care Quality Commission. The hospital has been facing scrutiny lately due to a number of preventable patient deaths and concerns about how it’s run.
