The TV show ‘Casualty’ ended its season with a shocking finale that made viewers worry about the fate of Ngozi Okoye’s character. A surprising turn of events led to a tragic outcome for her and her son Obi as they tried to leave Holby.
The newest collection, called Supply and Demand, finished with the medical team working to save Ngzoi after she hit her head.
Good news for Casualty fans! The BBC has announced the show will be back on Saturday, January 10th, 2025, at 8:45pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
Although we don’t know the specifics of the story yet, the show will have a new look and feel now that it’s moved from its original hospital in Holby to a location in Wales.
The BBC confirmed in May that the show’s move to Wales would create roles for new actors, while also ensuring that popular, established characters would continue to be featured as the series shifts its production to a new hospital set in Wales.
This week’s episode follows doctors and nurses battling to save lives in the emergency room, all while navigating complicated personal issues. High stakes and emotional drama unfold as everything is on the line.

The show’s return to television has been confirmed following BBC Studios winning the production contract. Their proposal received the highest score based on the established requirements.
According to the BBC, this change allows for more Welsh representation and keeps the show based and filmed in Cardiff.
According to a recent statement, this change will help the show Casualty continue to be a significant part of the Welsh television industry, reflecting the BBC’s dedication to supporting local stories and productions.
Lindsay Salt, head of BBC Drama, announced that the popular show Casualty will continue thanks to a successful tender process. The competition to produce the show was fierce, and the BBC appreciates the excellent proposals submitted by all shortlisted companies. They are excited to continue Casualty‘s legacy with BBC Studios.
Nick Andrews, BBC Cymru Wales’ Head of Commissioning, stated that “Casualty” will significantly showcase Wales to both UK and international audiences, and BBC Cymru Wales is thrilled about this opportunity.
Casualty consistently pushes boundaries, and the latest series is no exception. The incredibly detailed depiction of Wales, both its people and landscapes, is truly innovative. BBC Studios has sparked our imaginations, and we’re excited to see what they do with the show in the future.
Casualty returns on Saturday 10th January 2025 at 8:45pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
