Rob Brydon reveals why he initially turned down new BBC series – and what changed his mind

I really like the idea and I’m eager to learn more. When the BBC initially proposed this [three-part series], I turned it down because I didn’t think I was an expert on country music, and it could seem like I was just taking advantage of a trend. However, they came back with the idea of *discovering* the genre, and I felt that gave me a legitimate reason to do it. I believe that when someone like me, a regular face on TV, decides to make a documentary, there should be a good reason behind it.

Why is fitness coach Joe Wicks selling a protein bar that could be hazardous to your health?

What I eat definitely impacts how I feel, both physically and mentally. As a fitness coach, I’ve learned the importance of a healthy diet. However, I still find it hard to resist things like a single biscuit or a piece of chocolate. It’s important to remember that this isn’t a personal failing; these kinds of foods are designed to be addictive, and they’re available everywhere – from petrol stations and soft-play centres to leisure centres and even hospitals. We’re constantly surrounded by them. Sometimes it feels like highly processed foods (UPFs) are actively trying to get to us.

Slow Horses star on joining Celebrity Traitors: “I think I can smell bulls**t”

I’ve always been a huge fan of the show. This is actually the first time I’ve appeared as myself! I did Taskmaster before, which felt somewhat like me, but even then I chose to dress as Dracula to create a bit of distance. Usually, in my comedy, I perform in character, and I like to maintain that sense of mystery by not showing too much of myself. However, I couldn’t pass up this incredible opportunity! I’ve always enjoyed games like this, and getting to spend time with such a lovely group of people is a real privilege. I absolutely adore it.

Stephen Fry wants to be a Faithful on The Celebrity Traitors – because actors are “terrible liars”

Honestly, I went in completely unsure what to expect. It was a total surprise, because usually, after doing as many projects as I have, I feel like I’ve seen it all. But this? This was genuinely new territory for me. I figured it was worth a shot – a fresh experience. Everyone around me raved about how good the show was, and the premise definitely piqued my interest. And you know what? They were right. I have to admit, I really enjoyed it. It really was a very well-done production, and I’m glad I took the chance. I’d definitely recommend it to others looking for something different.
