The first issue of Universal Monsters: Phantom of the Opera is created by Tyler Boss and Martin Simmonds, who together deliver a stunning reimagining of the classic story. With a strong history of excellent horror comics, this new book feels like a truly impressive addition to the genre.
Next week, on March 3rd, PlayStation Plus members will get four new games: PGA Tour 2K25, Monster Hunter Rise, Slime Rancher 2, and The Elder Scrolls Online Collection: Gold Road. All four games are available on PS5, and Monster Hunter Rise and The Elder Scrolls Online Collection: Gold Road are also playable on PS4. These games will be available as part of the PS Plus service until April 6th, when they’ll be replaced with a new selection of free games.
HBO Max is making a live-action series based on the manga Song of the Samurai, originally known as Chiruran: Shinsengumi Requiem. The manga ran for thirty-six volumes from 2010 to 2023, and while an anime adaptation was made in 2017, it only had one short season. This new series will have plenty of source material to work with. Anime fans will be able to watch this fresh take on Chiruran when it premieres on May 9th, and it’s expected to be a hit this summer on HBO Max.

Nacon is a gaming company made up of 16 different development teams, including well-known studios like Kylotonn (known for WRC games), Cyanide (Tour de France), and Spiders (GreedFall). They also have their own team for publishing games. Recently, Nacon has faced financial difficulties because its main owner, Bigben Interactive, failed to repay a loan. Nacon is now asking the French courts for permission to reorganize its debts.

I was really paying attention to the newest prequel, and while they didn’t talk about Aegon’s dream – even with all the Targaryens – something interesting did happen in the first season finale of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. Early in the episode, while Lyonel Baratheon is chatting with his Maester and Dunk, Dunk gets frustrated and blurts out, “The Others fking geld me.” It seems like a random thing to say, but it’s actually a big deal! It’s the first time we’ve heard the characters refer to them as “the Others” on screen – they’ve always called them “White Walkers” before.
Okay, so I just read Punisher #1, and honestly, Benjamin Percy and Jose Luis Soares really nailed it. The Punisher’s been around for ages, and it’s tough to find a fresh angle, you know? But this issue felt perfectly classic Punisher without just retreading old ground. They found that sweet spot – familiar, but not a copy. It was a great start!
You only have until March 1st to watch the award-winning animated comedy Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit on Netflix! This 2005 film, the fourth in the popular Wallace & Gromit series, follows the quirky inventor Wallace and his dog Gromit as they try to save the town’s giant vegetable competition from a mysterious creature—the Were-Rabbit. The movie stars Peter Sallis, Ralph Fiennes, Helena Bonham Carter, and Peter Kay.
