As a passionate fan, I was thrilled to be part of the audience tuning into AEW Dynamite’s groundbreaking debut in 2025, an event that also marked its premiere on Max. But let me tell you, Fight for the Fallen offered more than just a first glimpse. In the third episode, some of AEW’s biggest names went head-to-head, vying for the top spot in the Casino Gauntlet. Among them were Swerve Strickland, Roderick Strong, and Jay White.

Unfortunately, Strickland’s journey came to an abrupt end when Ricochet, in a chilling display of his newfound villainy, eliminated him from contention. The turning point was a shocking moment where Ricochet, in cold blood, plunged a pair of scissors into Strickland’s head, heralding the start of a darker chapter for the charismatic wrestler. And that was just the beginning!

At The Game Awards 2024, Project Century was unveiled as a secretive game developed by RGG Studios, the accomplished team responsible for the Like a Dragon / Yakuza series. Details about the game are scant, with only its apparent historical Japanese setting in 1915 being disclosed. This lack of information has sparked much fan conjecture, but studio director Masayoshi Yokoyama has brushed off all speculation, stating that the trailer does not reveal any secrets.

Embarking on this exciting new chapter of AEW, I tuned in to tonight’s Dynamite, broadcast both live on TBS and debuting its streaming on Max. The show welcomed viewers with a fresh intro, complete with The Pointer Sisters, and a more vibrant atmosphere inside the ring. The streaming quality on Max was praised by many, but one aspect that drew mixed reactions was the presence of commercials and ads during the episode. While this is common in an ad-supported setup, it’s understandable why those who opted for an ad-free plan might find these interruptions a bit frustrating.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve been closely following the industry news, and it’s no secret that 20XX has seen its share of unfortunate studio closures, layoffs, and furloughs. However, among all the grim headlines, one story stood out as a beacon of hope: the quiet efforts of Korean publisher KRAFTON (known for their hit game PUBG). When Xbox decided to unceremoniously part ways with Tango and other Bethesda studios, KRAFTON stepped in to safeguard the Tokyo-based team. This is one of the rare instances where a situation, often ending in despair, has led to something more positive.

The last season of “What If…?” has wrapped up, leaving us with a tantalizing sneak peek at an intriguing new character, Silver Surfer Jubilee. This figure joined a host of other unique variants such as Spider-Man with six arms, Samurai Ghost Rider, Iron Heart Punisher, Wolverine Thanos, and others. Whether this specific version or the assortment of multiverse characters will reappear in future series or films remains to be seen. However, with a confirmed Silver Surfer (Shalla-Bal) for “Fantastic Four: First Steps” and an upcoming “X-Men” movie on the horizon, it’s hard not to ponder if Silver Surfer Jubilee might be hinting at something exciting.

As a lifelong comic book enthusiast, I eagerly await the arrival of each new weekly installment in this incredible world of sequential art. It’s like Christmas morning for me every Wednesday, affectionately known to fellow fans as “New Comic Book Day”! This week is particularly special, marking not only a fresh start but also the culmination of stories that have been unfolding over the past year.
