Hellblade 2 will now operate at a smooth 60 frames per second (fps) on PlayStation 5. Previously, it had been set to run at 30fps on Xbox Series X|S for about a year.
Senua’s Sacrifice. Interestingly, if you already own the game, this remastered version will be available to you as a complimentary upgrade.
In this updated version, you’ll find essential gameplay enhancements, such as the boost in frame rate that was previously mentioned.

Here’s what Ninja Theory’s Will Potter said on Xbox Wire:
Hellblade 2: Senua’s Saga offers an immersive cinematic journey with stunning graphics that bring Senua’s world to life. We’re thrilled to introduce Performance Mode, allowing you to play the game at a smooth 60 frames per second. This upgrade makes gameplay feel more fluid, particularly during combat and fast-paced scenes in the game.
In addition to the updated version, you’ll find some extra enhancements. One of these additions is the Dark Rot mechanism, similar to the one in the initial game, which sets a restriction on the number of chances you get before your gameplay concludes irreversibly when all lives are used up.
For the virtual photographers among you, you’ll also find an expansion of the photo mode feature.
Additionally, there will be a Developer Commentary feature, offering more than four hours of enlightening commentary about the artistic and strategic choices made during the game’s creation.
Is the entirety of this compelling enough for you to reconsider Senua’s grim, gory realm? Witness one of the most visually stunning games yet, running at a smooth 60 frames per second, in the comments below.
