Kojima recently discovered, through social media, that the Wachowski sisters had apparently approached him about a Matrix game project way back in 1999. He was surprised because, despite the 26 years that have passed, no one had ever mentioned this conversation to him before.
The new movie, Chainsaw Man: The Reze Arc, has become a huge success in Western markets, topping the box office charts during its opening weekend. It’s already earned over $17 million in North America, and with worldwide earnings exceeding $100 million, it’s a major win for MAPPA. Japan has been a key contributor, bringing in over $46 million for Denji’s first big-screen adventure. While it probably won’t reach the same level of profit as Infinity Castle, Chainsaw Man The Movie demonstrates that anime is achieving unprecedented success.
The Superman Red & Blue Special #1 features four unique stories, each offering a fresh perspective on Superman. “Priceless,” by Paul Dini and Mirka Andolfo, is a fun science fiction adventure where Superman must rescue Supergirl from an alien prison using a rare crystal. Michael Walsh’s “All the Time in the World” is a heartwarming look at a typical day for the world’s greatest hero. “Out of the Ordinary” by Dan Abnett and Caitlin Yarksy tells the story of Superman saving a small town and connecting with a fellow journalist. Finally, “Red-Letter Days” by Rainbow Rowell and Cian Tormey highlights Superman’s wonderful supporting characters, especially Lois Lane, in a charming tale.
Both seasons of the chilling series NOS4A2 are now available on Netflix, starting October 29th. Originally airing on AMC from 2019 to 2020, the show is based on Joe Hill’s 2013 novel. It stars Zachary Quinto as Charlie Manx, a unique and terrifying villain who preys on children’s souls, imprisoning them in his twisted vision of Christmasland. When Vic McQueen, a young woman with the ability to find lost objects, discovers her power, she finds herself facing off against Manx.

As a big fan of Hideo Kojima, I was really surprised to hear how easily he got the idea for OD across to Phil Spencer at Xbox. Apparently, pitching it wasn’t as complicated as you might think for a Kojima game! Spencer recently shared in an interview that when they talked about the new project, Kojima laid out some seriously ambitious ideas, and even told him straight up, ‘I want to make a truly terrifying game.’ It’s awesome to hear him be so direct about wanting to deliver a really scary experience!
After a year of waiting, Pokemon TCG Pocket has finally explained what the Advance Ticket is for. DeNA announced on the game’s official X account that the ticket enters players into a drawing for Pack Hourglasses. Surprisingly, even players who got the ticket recently will be included in the raffle, leading many to wonder if it had any real purpose. The answer seems to be… sort of.
