Initially, there was a sense of apprehension about the debut of “The Undead Iron Fist” comic, given Danny’s departure from the Immortal Iron Fist title he’d been associated with for so long. However, writer Jason Loo and artist Fran Galan surpassed expectations, presenting a strong first issue that sets a new course for Danny Rand’s journey. This inaugural issue is certain to rekindle fans’ belief in Danny’s significance within the Marvel Universe. Despite Danny’s temporary status in “The Undead Iron Fist”, the comic implies there are numerous tales yet to be told about Danny Rand.

Man, I can’t believe it’s been a year since I learned that the Age of Empires franchise, originally created by Microsoft, has smashed over 50 million players across all games! It’s incredible to think about this achievement given how old the series is and its niche genre. Most people wouldn’t expect real-time strategy games like these to be popular outside the PC realm, but Age of Empires II has shown that even older games or those in less mainstream genres can break through. It just goes to show that there’s always a chance for any game to succeed!

The animated film titled “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish,” which is the latest addition and the sixth installment in the popular Shrek series, began streaming on Peacock on September 10th. Now, you can find this movie, along with most of the other Shrek films, on the NBCUniversal streamer. Directed by Joel Crawford, in “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish,” our beloved cat character grapples with the idea of morality. Upon discovering that he has used up eight of his nine lives, Puss in Boots forms an alliance with Kitty and Perrito to embark on a quest to locate the Last Wish from a fallen star’s wishing star, hoping to regain his nine lives and resume his thrilling escapades.

In the initial five pages, writer Gretchen Felker-Martin skillfully establishes the mood and atmosphere of the series, effectively portraying the city’s condition and the stark contrast it presents compared to Hood’s usual haunts in Gotham.

As an ardent fan, I must confess that the return of “The Age of Apocalypse” has left me with mixed feelings. While many fans might view it as untouchable perfection, this inaugural issue seems to deviate somewhat from that standard. Jeph Loeb’s later works have had their share of ups and downs, and some of those inconsistencies seem to be present here.

One immediate issue I noticed is the disregard for the established timeline of the “Age of Apocalypse” universe. The 2005 miniseries, the aftermath as portrayed in “The Dark Angel Saga,” and the subsequent series post-“The Dark Angel Saga” – all considered some of the finest X-Men tales of the past decade – appear to be non-canonical. This new take on the “Age of Apocalypse” universe can be a bit perplexing, especially when the story begins with a battle against a character who should have perished in previous events.

However, if you’re new to these sequel stories, you might not find this confusing at all. For long-time fans like myself, it’s an adjustment, but I remain hopeful that the series will eventually align more closely with our beloved original “Age of Apocalypse” timeline.

In the blockbuster crossover event Avengers: Doomsday, Pullman reappears, amplifying the cosmic peril posed by Sentry. His internal turmoil promises to be a major focus in the upcoming movie, as Doctor Doom (Robert Downey Jr.) seems poised to manipulate Sentry’s unstable mind for his advantage. This prepares the ground for a confrontation that only a select few heroes can handle, considering Sentry’s power surpasses that of many Avengers combined. Although a decisive win may be out of reach for most, a few characters boast the unique abilities and colossal might required to withstand the golden guardian’s strength at least.
