To many anime enthusiasts, the name “TOHO” may evoke several memories, given its involvement in numerous well-loved anime series from studios such as TMS Entertainment, OLM, and Studio Ghibli. Lately, TOHO expanded its reach by acquiring Science SARU, a studio established by Masaaki Yuasa and Eunyoung Choi, whose works include the hit series Dandadan, Devilman Crybaby, and Ping Pong. As 2024 winds down, it appears that Science SARU is making even bigger strides in the anime industry.

After a long period of anticipation, it appears that Masters of the Universe is finally set to make its way onto the big screen, with reality drawing nearer as four key roles have been filled. As per a recent update from Deadline, Jared Leto (famous for his role in House of Gucci) has officially secured the part of He-Man’s arch-nemesis and mastermind villain Skeletor, while Sam C. Wilson (House of the Dragon) will portray Trap Jaw. Hafthor Bjornsson (The Northman) is set to play Goat Man, and Kojo Attah (In The Grey) has been cast as Tri-Klops.

The PlayStation 5 Pro can play any PS5 game, however, only a limited number of these games are optimized for the PS5 Pro, meaning they’ve been fine-tuned with the PS5 Pro’s enhancements in mind. Sony has suggested that more games will leverage these upgrades as the console is incorporated into development processes over time. While it may take some time before all 2025 games take advantage of these improvements, none of the major releases next year – which are also early adopters for the new year – will be left out.

In the upcoming Marvel saga, Spider-Man will face off against an unconventional alien hunter, dubbed Skinner, in a heated showdown set during a sweltering blackout in New York City. Previously seen clashing with Wolverine and Black Panther, this new Predator series, comprising four issues, brings Skinner into the limelight. As described on Marvel’s website by writer Benjamin Percy, Skinner is a rogue Yautja warrior with no allegiance to any code or clan, making him an ideal terrifying adversary for the kind-hearted Peter Parker. The series, adorned with artwork by Marcelo Ferreira and slated for release on April 23, 2025, chronicles Spider-Man’s efforts to maintain order in a city grappling with escalating temperatures and tensions.

In April, Marvel’s popular character Spider-Man starts a new journey in the comic books as Marvel announces a fresh start for its iconic title, Amazing Spider-Man. Renowned writer Joe Kelly, from the recent The 8 Deaths of Spider-Man storyline, teams up with seasoned artist John Romita Jr. and emerging talent Pepe Larraz, who has been praised for his work in Blood Hunt and X-Men. Despite this being another #1 issue for the series, Kelly emphasizes maintaining continuity rather than a complete makeover.
