Although the manga adaptation of “Jujutsu Kaisen” ended in September, its anime counterpart still has plenty of uncharted territory ahead. The announcement for a third season came swiftly following the conclusion of the Shibuya Incident Arc in the manga. Season 2 has been an emotional ride, with Gojo’s backstory and the most intense arc thus far leaving fans on edge. The Shibuya Incident Arc saw a series of heartbreaking events unfold once Kenjaku successfully imprisoned Gojo within the Prison Realm.

2024 has been quite unexpected for Sony and PlayStation, with innovative products debuting at sky-high prices and first-party AAA games closing down just weeks after their release. However, there are certain events from PlayStation’s 2024 that have particularly caught our attention here at Push Square. Which ones made the biggest impression on us?

In Japan, starting January 11, 2025, ABC TV will premiere a fresh live-action series inspired by the popular webtoon “Love Revolution”. The cast includes Toa Shimasaki, member of the Japanese boy band Lil Kansai, which is produced by Tadayoshi Okura from SUPER EIGHT and Mizuki Yoshida known for her role as Kyomoto in the animated version of “Look Back”. This marks the second time this webcomic has been adapted into live-action, with the first series having debuted in South Korea back in 2020.

Over the past 22 years since the initial release of Spider-Man, Sony’s management of the film rights has had its fair share of highs and lows. However, it seems we’ve reached the lowest point now, as Sony has ceased production on any further Spider-Man universe movies. Despite this, the actual Spider-Man films, including those featuring Tom Holland and produced jointly with Marvel Studios, as well as the Spider-Verse series, will continue. The rest of the projects, unfortunately, have been wrapped up. This move is understandable considering the less successful titles like Morbius and Madame Web that defined this cinematic universe. Even the Venom trilogy, which started off promisingly, has fallen short of expectations.

In simpler terms, HBO has announced that a beloved character from the Harry Potter series will appear in their upcoming TV show, which covers the storyline from The Philosopher’s Stone to Deathly Hallows. Essentially, this is like a fresh start for the Harry Potter series, allowing for potential modifications, exclusions, and enhancements to the original material. However, HBO has guaranteed that the adaptation will remain true to J.K. Rowling’s books, as suggested by the confirmation of the return of a less prominent but popular character.

In Dragon Ball Daima, we’re consistently hit with substantial backstory reveals that are dramatically reshaping our understanding of the universe and characters. A large portion of these groundbreaking disclosures revolve around the beginnings of Namekians and Kais. As the story unfolds, it’s increasingly clear just how intricately linked these two species are. In episode 10, we learn that the Namekians’ original home planet in the Demon Realm is a relatively compact planet, approachable by air, much like King Kai’s planet at the end of Snake Way in Dragon Ball Z.
