All four seasons of the DreamWorks animated series, The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants, including the final season The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants in Space, were removed from Netflix on January 9th. However, the show hasn’t disappeared completely! It’s now available to stream on Peacock, though currently only the first two seasons are on the platform.
When James Gunn revealed the plans for the new DC Universe, a Batman movie was included in the first group of projects. The director of The Flash, Andy Muschietti, is involved, and the film is expected to feature many members of Batman’s extended family. Since the initial announcement, however, very little has been said about the movie, leaving Batman’s future in the DCU uncertain. Fortunately, there are promising signs that this new Batman will be older, similar to the version seen in the previous DC Extended Universe, which would be a positive development.
The new open-world survival game, StarRupture, launched in Early Access a few days ago and has quickly become very popular on Steam. Early players have given it a “Very Positive” rating, suggesting it’s more than just a temporary hit. A new trailer for an upcoming SNK game, likely Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, revealed a mysterious anime character. The fighter saved two children from bullies and then used a signature move – touching an opponent’s forehead – reminiscent of Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star. While it hasn’t been officially confirmed, many believe Kenshiro will be a playable character in the game, and an announcement is expected soon. As a huge Batman fan, I’ve always loved seeing different takes on the character and imagining who could fill Bruce Wayne’s cowl. We’ve seen alternate futures with Dick Grayson as Batman, especially after the storyline where Bruce was presumed dead, but it felt like a lot of the Bat-Family never really got their moment. That all changed with DC K.O.: Knightfight. Basically, Bruce messed with something he shouldn’t have, and this entity called the Heart of Apokalips punished him by forcing him to live through realities where his ‘children’ – the various Robins and Bat-Family members – became Batman, and it wasn’t pretty. While the story really focuses on Dick, Jason, Tim, and Damian, the Heart showed glimpses of almost all the young heroes as Batman, and it seriously got me thinking about ranking their costumes. It was a fascinating look at what could be!

During a recent episode of the podcast The Hot Mic, Jeff Sneider, a well-connected industry source, reported a rumor that Marvel has cancelled plans for a standalone Blade movie. Instead, the studio is now apparently considering introducing the character, known as the Daywalker, within a Midnight Sons film. According to Sneider, Blade won’t get his own movie initially, but will first appear as part of the Midnight Sons team. It’s important to remember that this information is currently just a rumor and hasn’t been officially confirmed.
