Next month, a new comic book called Star Wars: Jar Jar will reveal what happened to Jar Jar Binks after the prequel films and show how he secretly helped create the Rebel Alliance. What makes this story even more exciting is that it’s co-written by Ahmet Best, the actor who played Jar Jar, and features a team-up with Kelleran Beq – Best’s character from Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge and a cameo appearance in The Mandalorian. The comic is co-written by Marc Guggenheim and illustrated by Kieran McKeown, and you can find a preview below.

Anime Japan, a major anime convention, will be held from March 28th to 31st. A new promotional image showcases some of the popular anime series that will be featured, and announcements are expected. Previous participants have included well-known studios like Animate, Aniplex, Bandai Namco, Toei Animation, and many others. A special online event called “Kickoff” will stream on January 16th, hosted by voice actors Yuki Kaji and Saori Hayami, offering a sneak peek at what’s in store.

I’m a total sucker for anime characters with seemingly pointless abilities! It’s refreshing because so much anime focuses on raw power, but it’s way more fun when someone has a totally ridiculous skill and still manages to be awesome. One that really stood out was Last Samurai Standing on Netflix – it’s a live-action manga adaptation and honestly, it deserves way more hype! I’m adding it to my watchlist right away.

Xbox Game Pass subscribers have more options when it comes to excellent Metroidvania games, particularly those available on the service from day one. Even with the recent price increase for Game Pass, subscribers could be playing one of the best Metroidvanias of 2026 very soon.

2026 is looking like a truly exceptional year for TV. We’re expecting a wave of big-budget revivals of classic shows, continuations of popular stories, and exciting new takes on familiar genres – the kind of thing that doesn’t happen very often. Whether you enjoy intense crime dramas set in the DC world or heartwarming comedies about doctors, 2026 has something for every television viewer.

After finding success on streaming platforms and in a limited theatrical release, KPop Demon Hunters has become a strong contender during awards season. The film’s song, “Golden,” was named MTV’s “Song of the Summer” and has received numerous awards from critics.
