Sam Raimi, through his production company Ghost House Pictures, has been involved in creating several successful horror films, including The Grudge series, 30 Days of Night, Don’t Breathe, and Crawl – movies that still scare audiences today. After directing OZ The Great and Powerful in 2013, Raimi took a break from directing, returning in 2022 with the Marvel film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. While that movie had some horror elements, it’s been almost twenty years since he’s directed a full-on horror film. That changes soon with the release of Send Help, a new film directed by Raimi, in theaters in just a few weeks.

The first part of Jujutsu Kaisen: Culling Game is arriving soon, and the series creator, Gege Akutami, is building excitement with new artwork for the opening theme of the upcoming season. The art celebrates King GNU’s new song, “AIZO,” which will be featured in the third season, and features a preview of many key characters involved in the intense Culling Game arc. Genndy Tartakovsky’s animated series, Primal, became a popular success when it first launched in 2019. However, all 10 episodes of its first season will soon be unavailable on HBO Max, with the last day to watch being January 11th. Luckily, the highly-rated (100% on Rotten Tomatoes) and five-time Emmy Award-winning show’s third season will premiere on Adult Swim the same day. Season 3 will then be available on HBO Max on January 12th. Primal is a unique show set in prehistoric times, following the surprising friendship between a caveman named Spear and a T-Rex called Fang.

I’m completely hooked on Sentenced To Be A Hero! It dropped on Crunchyroll on January 3rd, and ever since, everyone online has been raving about it – and for good reason! It’s brought to us by Studio Kai, the team behind shows like Uma Musume Pretty Derby, so I had high hopes, and they delivered! The story actually started as a novel by Rocket Shokai, and then became light novels and manga in 2021 and 2022. But the anime? It’s really something special. People are giving the first episode a 9.4/10 on IMDB, which is incredible! I’m dying to know what makes this series so captivating, and I can’t wait to dive deeper into the world of Xylo Forbartz.
