New Look at Sam Raimi’s Return to Horror After 17 Years Drops Ahead of Release: Watch The Trailer

Sam Raimi, through his production company Ghost House Pictures, has been involved in creating several successful horror films, including The Grudge series, 30 Days of Night, Don’t Breathe, and Crawl – movies that still scare audiences today. After directing OZ The Great and Powerful in 2013, Raimi took a break from directing, returning in 2022 with the Marvel film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. While that movie had some horror elements, it’s been almost twenty years since he’s directed a full-on horror film. That changes soon with the release of Send Help, a new film directed by Raimi, in theaters in just a few weeks.

81 Years Ago, the Looney Tunes Debuted Its Most Controversial Character

Pepé Le Pew, the lovestruck skunk, first appeared in theaters on January 6, 1945, in the short film Odor-able Kitty, directed by Jones. This cartoon established the basic formula for almost all of his future appearances: Pepé persistently pursues someone he thinks loves him back. While many of his cartoons featured a cat getting painted with a white stripe, the main storyline always focused on Pepé’s refusal to accept when someone doesn’t return his affections. He was originally created as a humorous take on the romantic French characters often portrayed by actors like Charles Boyer in classic Hollywood films. However, despite being intended as comedy, Pepé Le Pew’s behavior is now recognized as deeply problematic.

Open-World Games With Better Exploration Than Elden Ring

Unlike many other open-world games that guide you with clear stories or objectives, Elden Ring encourages players to find things on their own, which often leads to unexpected and rewarding experiences. While Elden Ring‘s open world is impressive, other games offer more compelling reasons to explore, often through how you move around. These other games might not be perfect, but their exploration systems are a major reason why they succeed.

Why Is Cyclops Crying & Screaming in Avengers: Doomsday’s X-Men Trailer?!

This teaser highlights Cyclops’ incredible power and suggests he’ll be a central figure in upcoming X-Men stories. Though Wolverine has often taken the lead in the movies, Cyclops is usually the team leader in the comics, and this hints at a return to that dynamic. While there’s talk of him appearing in Doomsday (though it’s not official), this footage suggests he’ll be key to the plot. He’s using his powers impressively, but he’s clearly distressed – visibly shaken and even screaming – which implies something deeply upsetting has happened. Considering some familiar faces are missing, could this mean several X-Men characters are in danger, even facing death?

Expedition 33 Fans are Furious with Hollow Knight: Silksong

The conflict escalated when Hollow Knight: Silksong won Steam’s Game of the Year award, surpassing Expedition 33. Many fans of Expedition 33 anticipated another win for their game, and Silksong’s victory sparked disappointment and negative reactions online. This situation demonstrates how previous successes can influence players’ expectations and reactions to award results.

HBO Max is About to Lose a Perfect-Rated Animated Series at the Worst Time

Genndy Tartakovsky’s animated series, Primal, became a popular success when it first launched in 2019. However, all 10 episodes of its first season will soon be unavailable on HBO Max, with the last day to watch being January 11th. Luckily, the highly-rated (100% on Rotten Tomatoes) and five-time Emmy Award-winning show’s third season will premiere on Adult Swim the same day. Season 3 will then be available on HBO Max on January 12th. Primal is a unique show set in prehistoric times, following the surprising friendship between a caveman named Spear and a T-Rex called Fang.

Crunchyroll Might Have Found Its Next Solo Leveling to Kick Off 2026

I’m completely hooked on Sentenced To Be A Hero! It dropped on Crunchyroll on January 3rd, and ever since, everyone online has been raving about it – and for good reason! It’s brought to us by Studio Kai, the team behind shows like Uma Musume Pretty Derby, so I had high hopes, and they delivered! The story actually started as a novel by Rocket Shokai, and then became light novels and manga in 2021 and 2022. But the anime? It’s really something special. People are giving the first episode a 9.4/10 on IMDB, which is incredible! I’m dying to know what makes this series so captivating, and I can’t wait to dive deeper into the world of Xylo Forbartz.
