The latest trailer for the new series highlights the next generation of Starfleet students, but also includes memorable quotes from classic Star Trek captains and characters like Kirk, Spock, Pike, Sisko, Janeway, and Picard, along with Worf. While fans might be hoping to see these iconic captains actually appear in the show, it’s unlikely. Star Trek: Starfleet Academy is set nearly nine hundred years after Star Trek: The Next Generation, so most of these characters would probably no longer be alive.
