As his memories start coming back, he must unravel the clues of his urgent mission to solve the enigma of the strange substance that’s causing the sun to fade away and prevent the extinction of mankind. The story also suggests a significant twist that will shape his adventure, implying that an “unforeseen bond” may enable him to confront this seemingly insurmountable task without facing it entirely alone.

The title has multiple dimensions: it serves as a lament for Grace Ashcroft, still struggling with her mother’s passing eight years ago, and a lament for everyone impacted by the Raccoon City incident, among other themes.
