I’m so excited for Friday! Netflix is releasing what I think will be their biggest movie of the year – the third mystery starring Daniel Craig as Benoit Blanc, called Wake Up Dead Man. It’s been playing in some cinemas, but I’m really glad it’s finally coming to streaming so everyone can watch it.

Given the massive success of the Dragon Ball franchise in both areas, it’s no surprise that characters from the series frequently appear on the cover. This month’s issue features new artwork from Dragon Ball Super artist Toyotaro, putting Ultra Instinct Goku and Beast Gohan together to promote the Dragon Ball Genki Dama Festival happening in January. With the year winding down and fans buzzing about Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution and Season 3, the compilation film covering the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death Arc now has streaming dates. The official anime website announced the film will be available to rent or download starting December 17th, 2025, on platforms like Prime Video, Niconico Channel, and DMM TV, though exact release dates will differ between services. Currently, this announcement is only for viewers in Japan. However, since the film includes some new artwork not seen in Season 2, there’s hope it will become available internationally as well.
The French film Black Box (originally titled Boîte noire) came out in France and Belgium on September 8, 2021, and proved to be popular, grossing about $9.7 million worldwide. Now, Netflix is creating an English-language remake. Tim Fehlbaum, known for directing September 5, will direct. Andrew Mittman of 1.21 (known for Elvis and Wednesday) will produce alongside the original film’s producers: Wassim Beji, Thibault Gast, and Matthias Weber. Kai Dolbashian from 1.21 will be the executive producer.
The new footage understandably highlights Miya Cech as the exciting addition of Toph in Season 2. It also gives us a glimpse of the rest of Team Avatar and hints at the difficulties they’ll encounter. The action appears as captivating as before, but fans have noticed one particularly noticeable issue with the new season. This problem seems unavoidable when adapting The Last Airbender into a live-action series – something The Legend of Korra wouldn’t have faced.
Disney, which owns 20th Century Studios, needs to keep showing the Avatar movies so audiences can see them as they were meant to be seen. The company also values anniversaries – the original Star Wars film will return to cinemas for its 50th in 2027. In 2026, Disney plans to re-release Avengers: Endgame in theaters leading up to the launch of Avengers: Doomsday. However, this could unintentionally strengthen a rumor about the new Marvel movie.
Funko recently released a new line of Pop figures based on the video game Marvel Rivals, and they look fantastic. The collection features characters like Doctor Doom, Magneto, and Iron Man, along with a larger-sized figure of Galactus’ daughter, Galacta. But the standout piece is definitely the Jeff the Land Shark Funko Pop!
The recent preview for the second season raises a concern about the show’s timeline. In the original story, only about a month passes between seasons, meaning Aang shouldn’t look significantly older. However, the preview makes Aang appear years older, which is inaccurate. This could become a bigger problem for Netflix’s One Piece, as that series has many more seasons to cover.
I’ve noticed that a lot of comedies need time to really hit their stride, so when one comes along that’s hilarious right from the beginning and stays that way, it’s something special! That’s why I’m so excited to share seven comedy series that were absolutely perfect, start to finish.
