Ryan Coogler recently discussed his film Black Panther with the New York Times, including plans for a third installment. He revealed that Black Panther 3 is currently scheduled for release in 2028. Interestingly, this places the film after the Avengers: Secret Wars movie, which is expected to significantly change the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Man, if you were gaming back in ’93 when Doom dropped, you knew it was something special. Seriously, never had I faced so many undead monsters, crazy mutants, and just straight-up demons! It wasn’t like anything else at the time. What really blew my mind was how it looked – it used clever 2D tricks to feel like a real 3D world, which people started calling ‘2.5D’ later on. It wasn’t id Software’s first attempt at this kind of thing, though. They’d already made Wolfenstein 3D, which was a pretty groundbreaking early first-person shooter – everyone called it the ‘grandfather of FPS’ – but Doom just took everything to a whole new level.
Netflix is in the process of acquiring Warner Bros., which would give them ownership of all the movies and shows produced by Warner Bros. and HBO. While the deal isn’t final – Paramount has offered a competing bid of $108 billion, and the purchase still needs approval from regulators and shareholders – if it goes through, Netflix would control a massive collection of popular franchises, including DC Comics and the DC Universe. This is a positive development for Netflix, but could potentially limit options and competition for fans of these genres in the future.
It’s extremely unusual for a game console to be discontinued and then revived with new releases years later. Developers and publishers generally avoid releasing games for consoles that are no longer supported because there isn’t a large enough player base. While some original consoles might still work, many are broken or malfunctioning, making it seem like a dead end. Despite this, surprisingly, a new release for the NES is planned for 2026.
