One of the game’s defining features is its progression system, which is a bit unusual and requires a lot of repetitive effort. While this matches the source material it’s based on, players focusing solely on the main story might find it disruptive. The game also features distinctive mechanics for handling allies and a unique class system, among other things.
I first got my hands on Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders back on January 21st – it came out for Xbox Series and on PC through Steam and the Microsoft Store. It’s been a blast ever since!
I get why people complain about microtransactions, but honestly, the game’s creative director, Simon Lemay-Comtois, makes a good point. He says they’re actually what lets them keep adding cool stuff after launch – like the Isu storylines, new quests, and improvements to the parkour system. Basically, without them, we wouldn’t get all these updates!

Daredevil works well with many different characters, but his dynamic with the Punisher is particularly strong. They share similar goals but approach their work in vastly different ways, leading to a complex relationship built on both respect and disagreement. When this tension is handled well, as it is here, their interactions are very entertaining. This story is a flashback, set during the ‘Welcome Back, Frank’ arc from the Marvel Knights series, and it’s written by Jimmy Palmiotti, who was instrumental in creating the Marvel Knights imprint. Palmiotti is also currently writing a Punisher mini-series called The World to Come, and I’ve been consistently impressed with his recent work – this issue definitely carries the same quality.
BioWare might benefit from revisiting its strengths. Before the Mass Effect series became a huge success – and before the controversy over its endings – and even before questions arose about whether BioWare was losing its touch, the studio created a different type of RPG. Dragon Age: Origins was a dark, strategic, and morally complex game with a strong focus on characters – a true example of excellent role-playing design. Now, following the mixed reaction to Dragon Age: The Veilguard and with high hopes for their next big sci-fi project, a complete remake of Origins could be just what BioWare needs to regain the trust of fans and rediscover its creative spark.
