Racing fans can look forward to Need for Speed Unbound this holiday season. While it wasn’t originally expected until 2025, it’s a surprisingly welcome addition to the lineup. The Need for Speed series has seen its share of successes and setbacks, but Criterion Games consistently tries new things. With Need for Speed Unbound, they’ve really changed the game’s appearance, adding vibrant animated street art and effects. It’s a fresh take on the series that some players are already enjoying.

The success of BioShock Infinite led many to expect a fourth game in the series. However, creator Ken Levine surprisingly decided to essentially close down Irrational Games, letting go of most of the team. It wasn’t a financial issue; Levine simply wanted to start over with a smaller group and work on something new. This controversial move meant putting BioShock on hold. Instead, Levine began developing Judas, a game that builds upon many of the concepts found in BioShock.

Okay, so I was reading Deadline about Sadie Sink – you know, Max from Stranger Things – and her upcoming stage debut, and they accidentally revealed some huge Marvel news! Apparently, she’s going to be in the next Avengers movie, which is filming in London later in 2026. It’s pretty much confirmed she’ll be in Avengers: Secret Wars after she makes her first appearance in the MCU with Spider-Man: Brand New Day. We don’t know her role in Brand New Day yet, but the fact that she’s also confirmed for Secret Wars is making me think she’s going to be a really important character, maybe even connected to the X-Men stuff Marvel’s planning!

Released in Japan in 2016, Shin Godzilla offered a fresh and innovative take on the classic monster. While a sequel hasn’t happened yet, many fans have hoped for one. Now, even more people will be able to enjoy it, as Shin Godzilla will be available to stream on HBO Max starting December 1st. This release is thanks to a partnership between GKIDS and HBO Max, and fans are excited to finally see it come to fruition.

Released on Disney+ not long after Endgame, WandaVision is widely considered the strongest story Marvel has produced in the last five years. The series explores Wanda Maximoff’s (Elizabeth Olsen) intense grief following Vision’s (Paul Bettany) death. To cope, she creates a fabricated reality in the town of Westview, bringing Vision back to life and giving herself the family she desires. The show’s popularity spawned follow-up projects like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Agatha All Along, and VisionQuest, all of which expand on WandaVision’s storyline. However, despite the compelling narrative threads introduced in WandaVision, the Marvel Cinematic Universe hasn’t fully capitalized on what made the show so special. While Wanda’s transformation into the Scarlet Witch is a particularly interesting development in her character, it hasn’t yet had a significant impact on the broader MCU.

Opinions on the Batman movies are all over the place – some people love them, others don’t! But however you feel about Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever, and Batman & Robin, they’re becoming available to watch outside of HBO Max for the first time in a long time. The films directed by Tim Burton are known for being quirky and entertaining, and the additions by Joel Schumacher complete a fun franchise that’s perfect for relaxing when you’re feeling stressed.

While the prequel series House of the Dragon has faced some criticism, even from author George R.R. Martin, a bigger problem could arise if it tries to end too quickly, similar to what happened with Game of Thrones. However, there’s now some encouraging news. A recent report suggests that Season 4 might not be the final season after all. Though plans previously indicated a four-season run, those plans are now uncertain, which would likely be a positive development for the show.

We first heard about Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet last year, but there haven’t been many substantial updates since. While we’ve gotten small hints about the game’s world and atmosphere, we still don’t know much about it overall. Because Naughty Dog is a highly respected developer, fans are eager for more information, but it seems like we’ll have to wait a while before we can actually play Intergalactic.
