At a Motor City Comic Con 2025 panel with Screen Rant, director Mike Flanagan talked about the potential for Robert Pattinson to appear in the new DC Universe. He cautiously mentioned it, saying he doesn’t want to upset DC fans, especially with James Gunn leading the DCU in a new direction. Flanagan admitted he doesn’t know what the plans are, but praised Matt Reeves’ work on The Batman and its characters like The Penguin, believing they could fit into the larger DC Universe, which he thinks is Gunn’s goal.

I was reading an interview with Edgar Wright over at CinemaBlend, and he revealed something really cool about Baby Driver and a nod to The Running Man. Apparently, in the world of Baby Driver, Arnold Schwarzenegger actually became President! Wright explained they decided that by 2025, the rules changed to allow anyone, even those not born in the US, to run for president. So, the governor of California – who is, of course, Arnold Schwarzenegger himself, not Ben Richards from The Running Man – ended up in the White House. It’s a fun little detail that connects the two films!

Netflix is adding a new animated series called Living the Dream from George Gendi, the creator of Apple & Onion. Revealed at the Manchester Animation Festival (according to Deadline), the show follows two best friends working together who feel like they should be further along in their careers.
