In a recent conversation, Yokoi, the editor of Baki The Grappler and manager at Akita Shoten, expressed his desire for a crossover between the Baki and Garouden franchises, both Netflix anime series. He explained that the creator of Kengan Ashura, Yabako Sandrovich, is a fan of Baki, and he has a close working relationship with Sho Kobayashi, the editor of Kengan Ashura. This connection led to their recent collaboration, and Yokoi hopes for similar partnerships in the future, provided the series have a natural fit and a strong creative link. As a fan, he particularly envisions a crossover with Garouden, as its manga adaptation was illustrated by Itagaki-sensei, the artist behind Baki. He emphasized this is simply a personal wish.

Renny Harlin’s action-packed sci-fi horror film, Deep Blue Sea, became available on Tubi on November 1st. This success is great news for fans, suggesting the show may continue beyond its current story, especially considering the hint at future events in the season finale.

As of today, the new series Pluribus is getting incredible reviews, currently holding a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes. And in a sign of Apple TV’s strong belief in the show, it’s already been renewed for a second season!

As reported by Deadline, Predator: Badlands made $4.8 million during preview showings on Wednesday and Thursday. This is more than the $2.5 million earned by Shane Black’s The Predator in 2018, but less than the $6.5 million Alien: Romulus took in during its previews last summer.

I saw the news on X (formerly Twitter) from @WSJ_manga, a source I trust for updates on Shonen Jump series. Apparently, the manga, which started in February, will finish with chapter 22. They haven’t announced the exact release date for that final chapter yet, but since it’s published every two weeks, it should be out before the year ends. This isn’t the first time these creators have worked together – back in 2022, they released Teruteru Construction Co. Ltd. on the same platform. That manga also had just 24 chapters, but it didn’t get a lot of attention, so there isn’t much information about it available.
