Dragon Quest 1 + 2 Remake Has Me More Excited Than Ever for Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined

This installment is a massive undertaking for the series, featuring large, detailed islands, complex storylines, and a huge amount of content to discover. However, it’s also known for starting slowly and feeling a bit sluggish. Considering how the remakes of the first two games improved the gameplay while staying true to the originals, I’m optimistic that this new version of DQ7 will turn it from a hidden treasure into one of the top RPGs of 2026.

Fans of Retro RPGs Have Plenty to Look Forward to in Octopath Traveler 0

HD-2D is a unique style that blends retro pixel art with modern 3D graphics. It creates a beautiful look by combining 2D elements – like classic pixel art and sprites – with fully rendered 3D environments. This technique could have revolutionized older games; titles like The Legend of Zelda and early Final Fantasy games might have looked very different if the technology had existed back then. The new game, Octopath Traveler 0, continues this style, but it’s also adding features commonly found in today’s games, going beyond what’s been done in previous Octopath Traveler titles. This is thanks to the collaboration between DokiDoki Groove Works and Square Enix.

7 Fox Marvel Characters That the MCU Will Never Get Right

The upcoming movie Doomsday will bring back several actors known for their roles in previous Fox Marvel films. Many of the original X-Men cast members are reprising their parts for what will likely be the last time before the series is rebooted in the next few years. Fans should appreciate these performances, as some of these characters won’t be portrayed as well when they’re integrated into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Here are seven Fox Marvel characters that may not translate successfully to the MCU.

3 Gaming Heroes Who Aren’t Nearly as Noble as You Remember

Think about all the enemies you defeated to finish a game – you likely had to fight and destroy a lot of them. Were they all truly villains deserving of their fate? Maybe not. And even if they were, your character probably did some questionable things along the way. Perhaps you looted valuable items in Fallout, or accidentally hit someone while racing – most game heroes aren’t exactly saints. These characters are often seen as noble heroes that players love, but looking back, they’re not as virtuous as we remember.

Every Time The MCU Killed An Avenger

Because the Marvel Cinematic Universe has ways of bringing characters back to life, death isn’t always final. Still, when a hero does die, it can be really impactful, especially if they’re an Avenger. Some deaths in the MCU feel particularly unfair, largely because they happen to members of the universe’s strongest superhero team.

Battlefield 6’s Wicked Grin Skin Has Been Quietly Removed From the Game

Players of Battlefield 6 have criticized the “Wicked Grin” skin, pointing out its overly bright blue colour makes it look out of place compared to the game’s other, more realistic skins. This criticism is particularly notable because Battlefield Studios had previously stated they would focus on creating more realistic cosmetic options for the game.

One Piece And Sesame Street Team Up in Wild, Official Halloween Crossover

To celebrate Sesame Street coming to Netflix on November 10th, the show’s characters are dressed as stars from popular Netflix shows and movies. Oscar the Grouch is channeling Wednesday Addams, Bert and Ernie are sporting looks from Stranger Things, and Elmo is dressed as the pirate Monkey D. Luffy from One Piece – a nod to the anime’s growing popularity. With the second season of the live-action One Piece arriving on Netflix next March, this fun crossover is part of the show’s marketing campaign. Check out the hilarious images below!

N64 Exclusive Remaster Stealth Released on PS5 and Xbox Series X

Fans of the classic Turok series on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X can now play the remastered version of Turok 2: Seeds of Evil, originally released on Nintendo 64 in 1998. This follows the 2015 remaster of the first game, Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, which also came to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X earlier this year. The remaster of Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion has been available on those consoles since 2023. Unfortunately, Turok: Evolution, the fourth game in the series, is still only playable on older systems and there are no plans to update it.
