Batman: Dark Patterns #1 Review: Meticulously Plotted Mystery With Gorgeous Art

As a gaming enthusiast, for years I’ve been guiding fellow Batman fans to the same handful of comics when they’re new to the scene, books that have been filling shelves in libraries and Barnes & Noble stores across America. But now, it feels like we’ve got some fresh blood to point them towards – a reliable starting point that doesn’t require a deep dive into the continuity. Dandadan’s Newest Character Is One of the Series’ Strongest (& Fans Aren’t Ready)

In the anime “Dandadan”, we’ve got a fresh character named Jin Enoji, more famously known as Jiji. He’s Momo’s first love and at present, resides at her home because his parents are hospitalized. To make things more complicated, he enrolls in Momo’s class, much to the chagrin of Okarun. Jiji brings a touch of silliness to the series with his capers. While he seems light-hearted, his family troubles are a burden. Jiji realizes that the source of the string of mishaps is an evil spirit lurking in his house. Despite numerous efforts to expel the spirit, he’s forced to seek assistance from Seiko Ayase due to the failure.

Old Man Luke Cage Channels Hulk, Iron Fist and Sentry to Stop an All-New Cosmic Threat

In the hypothetical scenario, Luke Cage is already an imposing hero, but imagine him with the might of the strongest powers from the Marvel Universe at his disposal. Fans got a sneak peek into this in the 2023 end-of-the-year special Timeless, which showcased a Power Man hailing from a grim future, instigated by Luke’s former partner, Danny Rand. This special edition offered a glimpse of what Marvel Comics would offer over the subsequent year, and it even had Luke Cage and Danny Rand locking horns, all while demonstrating abilities borrowed from Hulk, Iron Fist, Sentry, Iron Man, and Moon Knight. The tale was so well-received that Marvel asked authors Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing to revisit this version of Luke Cage in a fresh Power Man series.

In the upcoming film “Captain America: Brave New World”, Harrison Ford faces significant expectation to embody the Red Hulk character. However, director Julius Onah is confident that Ford has handled the task admirably. In an interview with Empire Magazine this week, Onah expressed his enthusiasm for Ford’s performance, particularly since he’s stepping into a role once played by a friend. Onah used words like “mind-blowing” to describe Ford’s portrayal.
