Throughout the anime, Loid’s past has remained a secret, leaving viewers curious about what shaped him into the skilled spy he is. It appears fans are about to learn more about his history, for better or worse.

Fans strongly disliked the first season of *The Beginning After the End*, and even started a petition asking for a reboot. However, instead of restarting, the anime is moving forward with a second season, planned for release next spring.
