When people talk about great sci-fi games recently, titles like *NieR Automata*, *Half-Life: Alyx*, *Returnal*, and *Death Stranding* (including its 2025 sequel) often come up. Surprisingly, *No Man’s Sky* doesn’t usually get mentioned, even though it’s been much more widely played. However, it might be time to consider *No Man’s Sky* as one of the best sci-fi games, not just of the last ten years, but of all time.
Although Marvel Studios acquired the rights to the X-Men in 2019, the team hasn’t officially joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe yet. We’ve seen a few familiar X-Men characters appear, but the upcoming *Avengers: Doomsday* and *Avengers: Secret Wars* will be a final nod to the previous *X-Men* films from Fox before Marvel reintroduces these iconic mutants with new actors. Jake Schreier, who is directing *Thunderbolts* , will lead the *X-Men* reboot, and we’re looking forward to seeing these powerful characters return to the big screen soon.
In a recent interview with Empire, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige confirmed that development has begun on X-Men projects, calling it “very, very exciting.” He also discussed the challenges of balancing action with character development while filming *Thunderbolts*. Feige noted a steep learning curve in managing the ratio of action sequences to more emotionally focused scenes, explaining that despite having a longer shooting schedule than ever before, the action elements consumed a significant amount of time. By the end of the *Thunderbolts* shoot, he felt the team had a better understanding of how to achieve that balance.
Kerry Washington joined the cast of *The Simpsons* in Season 33 as Ms. Peyton, who became Bart’s new fourth grade teacher after replacing Edna Krabappel. Initially, it seemed Bart and Ms. Peyton had resolved a previous summer encounter in their first episode together. However, a recent episode in Season 37 revealed that Bart still has a strong crush on her.
Cold Iron Studios hasn’t made any public announcements since rumors began spreading. Evidence suggesting something is happening is quickly adding up. Their game, Aliens: Fireteam Elite, launched in 2021 to generally positive reviews.
Foggy Nelson, the character from both *Daredevil* and *Daredevil: Born Again*, faces a lot of hardship. He discovers his close friend is secretly a vigilante and is repeatedly forced to watch him get seriously injured, even appearing to die. While Daredevil always manages to recover and continue fighting for Hell’s Kitchen, Foggy tragically gets shot and killed by Bullseye early in *Born Again*. Despite this, Marvel Studios hints that Foggy will reappear in the show’s second season, implying the storyline will closely follow the original comic books.
Fans of the classic anime *Trigun* will be excited to hear that *Trigun Stargaze* is coming to Crunchyroll in January of 2026. Vash the Stampede will be back with familiar allies Nicholas D. Wolfwood and Meryl Stryfe as they continue their fight against Vash’s brother, Knives. Plus, Milly Thompson – the tall insurance agent and close friend of Meryl and Wolfwood from the original series – will finally appear, after being left out of *Trigun Stampede*.
The third season of *Fire Force* started airing this Spring and ended with a major cliffhanger. During announcements at New York Comic Con 2025 (which included a sneak peek at upcoming episodes), it was confirmed that *Fire Force* Season 3 Part 2 will premiere on January 9th of next year. As a huge Harry Potter fan, I was so excited to see a new picture circulating on X (formerly Twitter) from Wizarding World Direct! It shows the Diagon Alley set currently being built, and it’s looking amazing! They’ve already got a bunch of shopfronts up, and crews are working hard on even more.
