Since the unfortunate passing of creator Kentaro Miura, Guts has been deeply traumatized by Casca’s abduction and the fall of Elfhelm. In the aftermath, Guts is left alone in a cave where two Kushan citizens, Daiba and Silat, contemplate his fate. Daiba observes that the cave is strangely disconnected from reality, even beyond his ability to understand. He believes it holds a terrifying emptiness, stating that in complete darkness and silence, one can only confront themselves. He wonders what horrors this darkness might unleash as there is nothing to focus on but one’s own inner self.

Alabaster Dawn Demo is Now Available on PC

The demo is roughly 1.5 to 2.5 hours long and divided into two sections. The first lets you play the beginning of the game, and your progress will be saved when the full game launches. The second section showcases later parts of the story, including a portion of a dungeon, but any progress you make in that dungeon won’t transfer to the main game.

Even the Colourful Mall openly takes inspiration from *Mario Kart Wii’s* shopping mall track, right down to the shiny floor. While most of *CrossWorlds’* tracks are based on locations from past *Sonic* games, at its core, the game feels like a *Mario Kart* game with a new skin.
