Film enthusiast DanielRPK reports that a new Puss in Boots movie is in the works, building on the success of Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. Released in 2022, The Last Wish earned nearly $500 million worldwide and remains the most recent film set in the “Shrek Universe.” However, DreamWorks clearly has more stories to tell, as they’re not done with Shrek and his friends. In addition to the already announced Shrek 5, this potential Puss in Boots sequel is in development, along with a spin-off movie centered on Donkey and Dragon’s children. Eddie Murphy previously confirmed that the world of Shrek is set to expand significantly in the future.
A common criticism of the movie Eternals was that it introduced too many characters – all ten members of the Eternal team, plus the powerful Celestials – without giving enough screen time to develop any of them fully. While Celestials had been hinted at in previous Marvel movies, Eternals was our first real introduction to them, including Arishem the Judge, the being who created the Eternals and spoke with Sersi. Many fans are now concerned that a key plot point – Arishem’s promise to return and judge Earth after the Celestial Tiamut was killed – might never be addressed in future films.
