That comic is Free Planet, created by writer Aubrey Sitterson and artist Jed Dougherty. Published by Image Comics, Free Planet began earlier this year and quickly became popular for its story about a world *after* the revolution. It explores what happens when complete freedom is won – how do those who fought for it now maintain that freedom and define what true liberation means, not just for their country of Lutheria, but for the wider world?

Steve Rogers is in a slightly more advantageous position than his eventual teammates because he gets to stop the Red Skull from bombing major cities in Captain America: The First Avenger. But even though things escalate to the point where Cap is prepared to sacrifice himself, his showdown with the Red Skull isn’t the fiercest fight of Phase One. That title actually belongs to another MCU battle that recently got a sequel after almost twenty years.

So far in the DCU, Kara Zor-El has only shown up briefly at the end of Superman and with a very quick cameo in Peacemaker Season 2, so it’s too early to rank her among the best Supergirls. However, actress Milly Alcock is starting off strong in the role of the Kryptonian. The DCU’s version of Kara is largely inspired by the character in the Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow comics, where she begins as a rebellious and mischievous young woman. Alcock perfectly captured this personality in her single scene in Superman, getting a laugh from audiences when she playfully called her cousin a “bitch” and enjoyed Krypto’s playful behavior. It’s still too early to say if Alcock will become a great Supergirl, but we’re excited about her solo movie next year and her potential future within the DCU.

The first season of Fox’s popular medical drama Doc, consisting of 10 episodes, became available on Netflix on September 23rd, shortly before Season 2 began airing on Fox the same day. The show, created by Barbie Kligman and inspired by the Italian series Doc – Nelle tue mani, features Molly Parker as Dr. Amy Larsen, an internal medicine physician who loses the last eight years of her memory due to a brain injury. She has to rediscover who she is and rebuild her professional life, having no memory of her patients, coworkers, or loved ones. Doc Season 1 arrived on Netflix’s streaming service less than a year after its initial release on Fox.

The game we’re talking about is Stranglehold, and it’s been updated with a new feature: you can now customize the field of view (FOV) using the F5, F6, and F7 keys. For those unfamiliar, FOV stands for field of view. This is a significant improvement! Additionally, the default camera settings have been refined, the game is more stable, cloud saves are now supported, and it fully works on both Windows 10 and Windows 11.

Bethesda revealed the new version on Bluesky, playfully announcing it as a “Physical Deluxe Edition” appearing in the game’s inventory menu. The release date is set for 13th October, and pre-orders should become available soon.

Despite not following typical Seinen story patterns – leaning more towards a realistic slice-of-life approach – the series has gained a loyal following thanks to its compelling narratives. The unexpected announcement caught fans off guard, leading to worries about how the story will end and hopes for a third season. The manga has experienced inconsistent release schedules in the past, which explains the suddenness of the news. Furthermore, there’s been no confirmation of a third anime season, causing concern for the future of the franchise. Even the spin-off, March Comes In Like a Lion – The Untold Showa-Era Tale: Scorching Times, by Hideaki Nishikawa, hasn’t received an anime adaptation despite being completed five years ago.

Some science fiction series should have ended after a single film, but others brilliantly used the franchise model, with each new movie contributing positively to the overall story. The most successful franchises consistently achieve this, providing their loyal fans with one amazing experience after another. This consistency has resulted in several hugely popular sci-fi franchises, though only the truly exceptional ones remain consistently excellent throughout their entire run.

Homestuck started as a webcomic created by Andrew Hussie in 2009 and continued for several years. The series became very popular, and now it’s back with a new animated pilot made by the team at Spindleroo. The pilot was shared on the official YouTube channel of Vivianne Medrano, the creator of Hazbin Hotel, and has already received over one million views in just a few days.
