Although anime enthusiasts might have been disappointed that a new trailer didn’t premiere during the panel, they were excited about an upcoming event set for September 23rd. Title series: Sanctuary

Origin: Sanctuary was a Canadian TV series, ingeniously crafted by Damian Kindler. For aficionados of Stargate, this project boasted several familiar faces. Amanda Tapping steered the show as Dr. Helen Magnus, while the eponymous Sanctuary served as her domain – a haven for the Abnormals, an assortment of cryptids, magical beings, and other extraordinary creatures. Accompanying the journey were numerous recognizable actors, such as Robin Dunne, Emilie Ullerup, Christopher Heyerdahl, Ryan Robbins, Agam Darshi, and many others. The show’s potential was immense; however, its fate remains a question.

At Anime Expo 2025, a special panel unveiled a sneak peek at the upcoming season of “Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End” with a teaser image showcasing the primary characters Frieren, Fern, and Stark. Attendees were treated to an exclusive trailer that has since been made public. The new video concentrates mainly on the three lead characters but also includes flashbacks involving Himmel, Eisen, and Heiter. Since the series often delves into Frieren’s emotional past with her old comrades, be prepared to reach for tissues again when Season 2 airs in January. Kelly McMahon has chosen to openly express that her cherished spouse, Julian McMahon, passed away tranquilly this week following a brave fight against cancer. Kei Urana’s “Gachiakuta” made its debut in Kodansha’s “Weekly Shonen” magazine back in February 2022. So far, 15 volumes of the series have been compiled in Japanese. The first English-language edition was published by Kodansha in January 2024, with six volumes currently available, and the seventh volume set for release later this month. Despite being a relatively new series, “Gachiakuta” has created quite a stir in the manga world, and it looks like its anime adaptation will follow suit.

In the comic series “Ultimate Wolverine”, Kitty Pryde assumes a pivotal part, which is fitting given her significant connection to Wolverine. Throughout the years, she’s been a crucial character for him, undergoing numerous transformations. The seventh issue features an abundance of Kitty, as she assists Wolverine in coping with his past as the Winter Soldier and accepting his part in the deaths of their comrades. However, we also uncover something significant about Kitty in this installment, namely, her codename within the Opposition is Sprite – a name that long-time X-Men enthusiasts will recognize. The codenames (and costumes, truth be told) are one of those delightful tidbits of X-Men lore, and “Ultimate Wolverine” expands upon it.

Interestingly, Marvel portrayed Wanda’s transformation as the only possible outcome, much like Tony Stark’s demise was unavoidable in “The Multiverse of Madness”. In this story, Wanda discovered the multiverse through the Darkhold and quickly became the antagonist, pursuing America Chavez to seize her powers. Along the way, she killed various versions of herself and others across dimensions. Essentially, it was hinted that she would go to any length to obtain what she desired. Now, surprisingly, “Ironheart” has subtly and perhaps unintentionally deepened Wanda’s emotional wounds and made her downfall seem even more poignant.
