Thor’s Worst MCU Movie Created a Confusing Avengers: Infinity War Problem

Following the releases of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, Chris Hemsworth reappeared in Thor: Love and Thunder, making him the only character to star in four standalone movies within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Regrettably, Love and Thunder didn’t replicate the triumph of its 2017 forerunner, Thor: Ragnarok, and has been generally perceived as one of Thor’s less impressive entries. In Love and Thunder, Thor pursued Gorr the God Butcher (played by Christian Bale), who aimed to attain Eternity and make a wish to eliminate all gods in the MCU – sparking speculation as to why Thor didn’t employ this option during Avengers: Infinity War.
