I’m thrilled to be part of the support team for “Supergirl,” a movie masterfully directed by Craig Gillespie, renowned for his exceptional work on films like “I, Tonya,” “Lars and the Real Girl,” and “Fright Night.” The script is brilliantly crafted by Ana Nogueira, an actress who’s been making her mark in the writing world of late. This film is inspired by the comic book series “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow,” penned by Tom King with stunning artwork by Bilquis Evely. The title of our movie was drawn from this series until recently. James Gunn, co-head at DC Studios, shared a photo of Alcock on set, apparently engrossed in the collected “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow” in her trailer. Beyond that, DC Studios and Alcock have been tight-lipped about the specifics of what we can anticipate from this superhero movie.
