The anime series Sentenced to Be a Hero premiered on January 3rd, 2026, and quickly gained a following thanks to its beautiful animation, original story, and engaging plot. It’s already received nearly 30,000 likes on Crunchyroll, and that number is still growing. What’s particularly impressive is that the show didn’t generate much buzz before its release. If you enjoy action-packed fantasy anime and are looking for a new series to watch this season, Sentenced to Be a Hero is definitely worth checking out.

A French journalist named BeeFuN is reporting that a major Nintendo Direct presentation is scheduled for Tuesday, February 10th. According to this source, the presentation will reveal a new 3D Mario game – similar in style to titles like Super Mario Odyssey and Super Mario 64.

They’ve tasked Yuta Okkotsu, a fellow student at Jujutsu High, with the impossible job of killing Sukuna’s vessel. But Yuta’s always had his own agenda, and I’m really curious to see what that is!

Fans eagerly awaited Perfect Dark Zero, the sequel to the popular Perfect Dark game originally released for Nintendo 64 in 2000. As one of the first games for the Xbox 360, it created a lot of excitement and sold over a million copies. The game offered a single-player story mode that could also be played with a friend, and downloadable content later added even more multiplayer options. Though some players found it didn’t quite live up to expectations, many others enjoyed it, and it was eventually re-released as part of the Xbox 360’s Platinum Hits collection.

This week also brings the release of several new games: Big Hops, a 3D platformer, is available on PlayStation 5, Switch, and PC. CASSETTE BOY, a puzzle action RPG, launches on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. And for PC players, there’s Kotama & Academy Citadel, a fast-paced side-scrolling action game.

The fourth and final season of the series aired between 2020 and 2023, split into two parts with two additional special episodes. While the main story has concluded in both the anime and manga, the franchise continues to release new content. In 2026, a remastered version of Attack on Titan: The Final Chapter – The Last Attack will be shown in Dolby Cinema theaters starting January 9th. Director Yuichiro Hayashi, along with the voice actors for Eren Yeager (Yuki Kaji), Mikasa Ackerman (Yui Ishikawa), and Armin Arlet (Marina Inoue), attended the premiere event, where Yuki Kaji playfully quipped about the series being a bit of a trick.

Ending a popular show is always difficult, and the final season of Stranger Things faced a lot of criticism. Many viewers pointed out weak storylines, plot holes, and inconsistencies. This made Season 5 one of the show’s weakest, which was disappointing for a series finale.
