Crimson Desert Looks Like the Definition of Ambition

It’s normal for games to borrow successful ideas from others within the same genre, helping them feel familiar. However, Crimson Desert is taking this further. It doesn’t aim to be simply an open-world game, an action game, or a cinematic experience – it’s combining all of these elements into a unique and powerful blend of different design approaches.

Crimson Desert Looks Like A Masterclass In Graphics

Okay, so picture this: I’m looking at this massive game world, and it feels… raw, full of potential. Building your own game engine these days is seriously tough and expensive, most big studios just use existing ones like Unreal or Unity. But this developer decided to go all-in and create their own tech. It means they could really fine-tune everything to exactly match their creative vision, something that might not have been possible if they’d used a pre-made engine.

Marvel Comics’ Weirdest Events, Ranked

Okay, so I’m not saying these storylines are terrible – honestly, even stories that don’t quite land can be interesting to someone. But some of them took big swings and just didn’t quite connect, like Marvel’s Civil War II and that whole idea of punishing people for thinking about doing something wrong. Or Ultimatum, which just felt messy with a ton of characters dying and some really confusing choices. I’m not saying you shouldn’t check them out, but these next five events are definitely… strange. I’m going to break down what makes them so weird, so stick around!

Dungeons & Dragons Co-Op RPG Adds Warlock Class & New One-Shot In Major Update

Last year, I got to try out the first version of Battlemarked with my D&D group for a review on ComicBook. Since then, the game has been improved with updates adding helpful features and new things to do. The latest update, released on March 17th and called “Warlock,” is a great reason for D&D fans to jump into a new virtual campaign. It introduces a new Warlock character class, a new short adventure, and other additions.

40 Years On, This Perfect 2-Season Sci-Fi Series Deserves a Reboot

Similar to popular 80s cartoons like Masters of the Universe and Transformers, M.A.S.K. was based on a line of action figures and toys. The original series premiered in September 1985 and featured a battle between M.A.S.K., led by Matt Trakker, and V.E.N.O.M., headed by Miles Mayhem. It was a hit, running for 65 episodes! The second season moved away from the show’s original ideas and only lasted 10 episodes, though a great movie was released in 1986. Since then, M.A.S.K. hasn’t really seen a revival.

Peacock Just Added a Modern Reimagining of a Decades-Old Mystery Classic

Hercule Poirot was back on screens in 2022 with the film Death on the Nile. Kenneth Branagh’s adaptation of Agatha Christie’s classic 1937 novel—previously adapted in 1978—began streaming on Peacock on March 1st. Branagh stars as the famous detective whose relaxing vacation on a luxurious 1937 Egyptian river cruise is disrupted by a murder. When a wealthy woman is killed, Poirot must find the killer among a group of secretive wedding guests before they reach their destination.

Starfield Supports PS5 Pro With 4K/30 FPS Visual and 60 FPS Performance Modes

The game will fully support the DualSense controller, offering unique feedback like varying resistance on the triggers for different weapons. Sound effects, such as audio logs and ship communications, will play directly through the controller’s speaker. Players can easily switch between first and third-person perspectives using the touchpad, which also provides quick access to the map and scanner.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach’s PC Version Supports Ray Traced Reflections and Ambient Occlusion

The improved reflections, created with ray tracing, will appear on surfaces like water and even tar, making scenes like the fight with Neil look even more impressive. Ray tracing also enhances shadows, making them appear more natural in detailed areas like corners and between objects. While the Very High graphics setting already provides excellent detail, ray tracing takes the visuals a step further, though it wasn’t considered when determining the game’s system requirements.
