Amazon’s James Bond Reboot Should Avoid This Mistake From the Daniel Craig Era

Look, as a lifelong Bond fan, I think it’s obvious the franchise needs to keep evolving if it wants to stay relevant after all these years. Each new Bond needs to feel fresh and different from what we’ve seen before. So, I wouldn’t be shocked if the next film, Bond 26, really breaks from the Daniel Craig era. And honestly? That’s a good thing. Craig’s Bond made a big mistake trying to tell one long, connected story. The new Amazon films need to avoid that. Let’s get back to self-contained adventures, please!

El Tigre Creator Talks Dark Series Revival

At MomoCon this weekend, Jorge Gutierrez shared that he’s juggling several projects – new shows for Disney, a film for Netflix, and a Speedy Gonzalez movie with Warner Bros. – but he’s still considering a revival of his Nickelodeon series, El Tigre. According to Gutierrez, the idea is to bring back a twenty-year-old Manny Rivera to the present day, where he reconnects with old characters. In this potential revival, future Manny warns Frida that she must defeat El Tigre’s father and grandfather to save the world. While the revival isn’t definite, Gutierrez is actively exploring the possibility, which is encouraging news for fans of El Tigre.

2 Classic Fantasy Games Will Be Delisted Next Month (But They’re Massively Discounted Until Then)

The classic PC games Witchaven and Witchaven 2, originally released in 1995 and 1996, became available again on Steam and GOG in 2021. Before that, they were difficult to find and play on today’s computers. However, they’ll soon be removed from sale on July 15th, making them hard to get again. It’s currently unknown if the removal will affect both Steam and GOG, or just Steam. Both games are currently on sale at a discounted price before they’re taken down.

34 Years Ago, Marvel Comics Began the Biggest X-Story of the ‘90s

The story really kicked off with the introduction of the character Bishop in Uncanny X-Men #282 (which I recently acquired – it’s much more affordable now than when I was younger!). Bishop came from a bleak future created by someone who betrayed the X-Men, a reveal that happened in Uncanny X-Men #287 and caused a sensation in the comic book world. The X-Men dominated the 1990s, with most fans reading either Uncanny X-Men or X-Men (Vol. 2), and often both. While incredibly popular, the storyline eventually lost momentum and concluded in the massive X-Men event of the decade, “Onslaught.”
