Conveyor-belt sushi restaurants are popular in both Japan and North America, and the creators of the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure series have taken notice. As part of a special event, they’re challenging fans to eat 100 plates of sushi at Sushiro restaurants. If successful, fans will receive life-sized standees of Jotaro Kujo and Dio Brando from Stardust Crusaders. Unfortunately, this challenge is currently only available in Japan and hasn’t been confirmed for North America.

Leon S. Kennedy, once the young and handsome hero of Resident Evil 2, has matured into what Capcom calls an “ikeoji”—a charming, older man. Resident Evil Requiem shows that Leon has visibly aged, reflecting the thirty years that have passed within the game’s story. It’s a change I didn’t anticipate seeing in the series, but it helps establish a strong character arc for Leon and highlights the differences between him and the other main character.

As a big fan of Peacemaker Season 2, I was really following the Justice Gang’s search for new members. A new anime retelling of the movie Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, titled Dragon Ball Super: Beerus, is scheduled to premiere in Fall 2026. Fans also got news about a continuation of Dragon Ball Super, called The Galactic Patrol, which will cover the story arc following the Tournament of Power. Based on the manga’s length – approximately 26 chapters – the anime is likely to air weekly. However, no updates were provided regarding the future of the Dragon Ball manga.

Jay Russell’s The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep is a wonderful movie for the whole family, and it’s well worth watching, even though many people seem to have forgotten about it. Based on a book by Dick King-Smith, the film is available on Netflix until February 1st, so be sure to check it out! It tells the story of Angus, a boy who’s dealing with the loss of his father, and who finds a strange egg on the shore of Loch Ness. When the egg hatches into a magical creature – a ‘water horse’ – Angus has to keep it hidden from both his mother and the authorities.

A user on X (formerly Twitter), @TheRealZephryss, recently shared photos of a new Edward Kenway figurine that’s supposedly coming out with the remake of Assassin’s Creed 4. The figure appeared on Vinted, and the listing claimed the new Black Flag remake will launch in 2026. The post went viral, and Ubisoft responded with the popular “Ah st, here we go again” meme from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. While Ubisoft hasn’t confirmed the leak is real, their response suggests the information wasn’t meant to be public yet.
