The hammer belongs to Amy Rose, a popular character from the Sonic games. At the end of Sonic 3, a sneak peek of the next movie showed Sonic being attacked by Metal Sonic robots. Just when it looked like Sonic was defeated, a mysterious figure with a hammer jumped in and destroyed the robots. This figure turned out to be Amy Rose, and now she’s officially joining the movie series in Sonic 4, with Kristen Bell (The Good Place) providing her voice.

Director Flanagan has assembled a strong cast, and according to Deadline, he’s added Sasha Calle, known for her role in The Flash, to the project. While her specific part hasn’t been revealed, details about the movie’s overall story are also being kept under wraps. The only confirmed information is that this film won’t be a direct continuation of The Exorcist: Believer.

Showrunner Jess Brownell was thrilled to discuss the recent twist, especially because it was created just for the show and wasn’t part of the original books. As she explained on Bridgerton: The Official Podcast (via Tudum), the identity of Whistledown was already known from the books, so they couldn’t keep that reveal a mystery for long. Now, however, they can surprise viewers with unexpected developments. Brownell also highlighted that this new direction allows them to explore female empowerment in a more meaningful way. She noted that the historical period offered women limited choices and control, making it powerful to showcase women who actively sought to improve their circumstances and broaden the scope of female experiences within the show.

CCXP attendees got a first glimpse of the characters from Spider-Noir, thanks to official event badges. A new teaser video has been released, featuring a twist on the classic Spider-Man theme song. I’ve always been a huge fan of the Scream movies, and even before this weekend, they were a fantastic series. But with Scream 7 having the biggest opening weekend ever, it’s clear Ghostface will be back for more! Everyone’s already wondering about Scream 8, and honestly, I think it’s practically guaranteed – the money is definitely there. But beyond that, I’m curious if there’s still a good story to tell. Scream 7 left a couple of interesting plot points hanging, which feel like they’re setting things up for the next installment. Fair warning: I’m about to dive into spoilers for Scream 7!

Currently, what defines the game Marathon is how it handles player identity – or rather, doesn’t. Despite its excellent shooting and stylish look, a key feature could hold the game back. Marathon’s ‘Runner Shell’ system essentially makes it a hero shooter, which isn’t a great fit for the extraction genre. Instead of letting players create their own unique characters and roles, the game forces them into pre-made classes, which is a real letdown. For a game with so much potential, this feels like a big mistake.

While it’s understandably frustrating that Warner Bros. won’t release new games in major franchises, including Hogwarts Legacy, until at least 2027, this delay could be a positive sign. It gives developers time to learn from the first Hogwarts Legacy game and make a better sequel. Although fans will have to wait longer, this extra time is actually good news – it’s important for the future of the Hogwarts Legacy series and ensures future games are even better.
