Following the success of Trigun Stamepede, Trigun Stargaze continues the story of Vash the Stampede and his companions. This reboot from Studio ORANGE stays more faithful to the original manga than the earlier Madhouse anime, leading to significant changes across the two seasons. Not only have Vash and his brother Knives undergone character development, but their appearances have also been drastically updated, as shown in a newly released poster where Vash is seen with black hair and Knives has a completely new look.

Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone was a massive hit, captivating audiences and achieving incredible ratings. The show, which starred Kevin Costner as rancher John Dutton, spawned a successful universe of related series. Now, fans can revisit that world with The Madison, a new spinoff available on Paramount+. Starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell, the neo-Western series premiered with its first three episodes on March 14th, and the remaining three episodes will be released on March 21st.

Internal conflict within the X-Men became much more intense in the late 2000s and 2010s, largely due to a change in Professor Xavier’s character. He went from being seen as a peaceful leader to a controlling figure obsessed with power. As the storylines became more serious and the stakes higher, disagreements arose among the X-Men about how to move forward. Some believed in continuing to strive for peaceful coexistence with humans, while others advocated for treating humanity as an enemy. This conflict remains a central issue in the X-Men comics today, but it was significantly worsened in X-Men United #1, which depicted a deeply fractured team. The issue highlighted a particularly frustrating side of Cyclops, bringing out one of his most problematic qualities.

Consider the success of Daxter. It started as a spin-off game for the PlayStation Portable, following the conclusion of the Jak and Daxter trilogy on PlayStation 2. Daxter expanded on the original story with a fun platforming adventure, highlighting the franchise’s humorous sidekick. This came at a time when cartoon-like characters were incredibly popular and reliable for game sales. Now, twenty years later, it’s interesting to revisit Daxter and consider how its success reflects the evolution of mainstream gaming.

The action movie Nobody 2 is coming to Netflix on March 14th. It’s a sequel to the 2021 surprise hit Nobody, starring Bob Odenkirk as Hutch Mansell, a former assassin. The first movie saw Hutch return to his old life after his family was targeted, and while it had a satisfying ending, it left room for more adventures. Nobody 2 finds Hutch’s vacation taking a wrong turn. Though it wasn’t a blockbuster in theaters, both fans and critics liked it, and many are hoping for another sequel.

Terry Pratchett’s beloved Discworld series is now brought to life with stunning illustrations in The Discworld Bestiary. This book lets fans explore the Disc and discover all its strange and fascinating creatures. It also features humorous notes from Rincewind, the often-unwilling hero of The Colour of Magic and the Wizards series. Illustrator Paul Kirby describes the project as “a joyful challenge,” adding that capturing the unique animals of Terry Pratchett’s world is “a creative honour.”

All of this matters because the history of the films is shaping what comes next. The original creative team – Peter Jackson, Fran Walsh, and Philippa Boyens – are back for The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum, and Andy Serkis, who famously played Gollum, will direct and star. The story follows Gandalf and Aragorn’s quest to find Gollum before Sauron’s forces do, and it was originally created as a fan film back in 2009.

While not the most over-the-top anime out there, Rent-a-Girlfriend has become surprisingly controversial. Though it’s a romantic comedy, the series has stirred up more and more debate among fans as it’s progressed. The upcoming fifth season looks set to continue this trend, and a new trailer has just been released.

Everyone is eagerly anticipating Crimson Desert, but don’t overlook The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin and MLB The Show 26 – they’re both expected to be huge games as well.

Emily Rudd, who plays Nami in the live-action series, recently told Collider that production on season three is a priority now that the strikes have ended. She emphasized how much the cast and crew enjoy working on the show and believe fans are eager for more episodes. Rudd explained that while a significant amount of the show is filmed practically, post-production still requires considerable time to add effects and polish. However, everyone involved is working as quickly as possible to release the new season.
