Bandai Namco recently announced that unlocking the new content in the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC—including the two Nightfarer characters, two new bosses, and the Shifting Earth event—requires fulfilling certain conditions in the game.
Obsidian has already improved the game with features like a safe mode for those afraid of spiders, and new skills for both players and characters in the world. The upcoming update will bring even more, including a New Game Plus mode, a photo mode, a brand new weapon, the ability to customize your character’s look during exploration, and new character and customization options. It introduces two new playable characters, The Scholar and The Undertaker, and challenges players with two new bosses designed to be unpredictable. The DLC also adds a new area called the Shifting Earth, offering an extra layer of difficulty, along with a variety of new enemies and locations to explore, ensuring each playthrough feels fresh. Fans have been requesting more bosses and playable characters since the game launched, and Forsaken Hollows delivers on those requests.

A version for Xbox Series is in development, though a release date hasn’t been announced yet.
