Speaking of horror, there’s always more room for things to go wrong given the abundance of frightening elements out there. In fact, there’s hardly anything more disheartening than watching a poorly-executed horror movie with no suspense, scares, captivating creatures, engaging plot, or characters you secretly hope survive till the end. Whether they err on the side of too many concessions or not enough, it doesn’t take long to realize you’re in for a disappointing ride. This week, we’ll be highlighting the most disappointing ones from the last ten years – yes, the horror movies that have left us cringing since the turn of the decade.

Similar to the initial movie trailer, it’s actually Krypto, rather than the main character, who steals the show, being portrayed as a devoted but boisterous pup by Gunn. In an extended scene reminiscent of the original teaser, Superman is severely hurt and summons Krypto for aid. Instead, Krypto jumps on him, nips at him, and seems more interested in play than recognizing his distress. It’s only later that he understands the situation, and then hauls Superman to the Fortress of Solitude. In this movie adaptation, the fortress is populated by a team of extremely courteous robots.

I’m thrilled about the upcoming reboot/sequel of the classic comedy series “The Naked Gun,” where I play Lt. Frank Drebin Jr., the son of the iconic character portrayed by Leslie Nielsen in the original 90s films. From the looks of the first trailer, it seems they’ve preserved the same humorously absurd tone, poking fun at cop movies and Hollywood tropes in general. The O.J. Simpson joke, oh man, it’s a must-see! If you haven’t watched the original movies, Simpson played Drebin’s partner, Nordberg, in all three films.

In the initial movie, M3GAN is a sophisticated robotic toy designed for maximum entertainment for children, doubling as a friend. Given her programming to safeguard her owner, she unfortunately takes this protection too far and embarks on a lethal rampage. What other twists and turns can we expect in a film centered around artificial intelligence?

Simultaneously, Kilmer possessed a mysterious charm: Unlike most other actors, he never gave the impression of being completely understood by the audience. Instead, there was always a hint of something unexplored, an aspect that remained obscure – precisely what kept us eager to watch him repeatedly.

As reported by The New York Times, Val Kilmer sadly passed away on Tuesday in Los Angeles. Pneumonia was the cause of death, as confirmed by his daughter, Mercedes Kilmer. At the time of his passing, he was 65 years old and had previously battled throat cancer in 2014, from which he later recovered according to his daughter.
