In The Wire, many of its characters suffered a gruesome end or something equally dire. Often, they brought about their demise themselves. For instance, Stringer Bell’s downfall began when he attempted to manipulate two dangerous criminals and instead helped them form an unexpected alliance against him. On the other hand, Omar Little, who spent the series preying on the city’s most dangerous criminals, eventually faced the repercussions of his actions. Unfortunately, some of The Wire’s most compassionate characters experienced a tragic end that seemed undeserved.

Originally introduced in the Fox X-Men universe, Kelsey Grammer reprises his role as the blue-haired character Beast (also known as Dr. Hank McCoy) in the movie Avengers: Doomsday. Previously, to portray Beast in X-Men: The Last Stand, Grammer underwent a detailed prosthetic makeup procedure. However, this method will be replaced with motion capture technology in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Following Lucy Chen’s promotion to sergeant during season 7, showrunner Alexi Hawley discusses one facet of Lucy’s undercover operations that will need to evolve in upcoming seasons. As we delve into The Rookie season 8, the implications of Chen’s new role as a sergeant have not been thoroughly addressed. Despite Lucy leading her team to rescue Miles from the Eastern Front in the season 7 finale, much of her first night shift is spent responding to calls on her own while her team sleeps in a parking garage.

Luckily, another science fiction series offers a similar blend of intelligent storytelling and character development, albeit with a distinctly different plotline. This show is gritty, emotional, and full of unexpected twists, featuring a time-travel concept that’s as thought-provoking as anything found in “The Expanse”. Although it doesn’t take place among the stars, it certainly doesn’t lack the tension, moral dilemmas, and extended story arcs that space opera enthusiasts crave. Despite being somewhat overlooked, the underrated Netflix gem “Travelers” might just be the perfect fit for fans of “The Expanse”, especially while they wait for the elusive season 7.

In the third season of the spinoff, Better Call Saul, Gus was introduced to the cast, enriching his storyline even further. This series delved deeper into the background of Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks), explaining why he chose to work for Gus and the unwavering loyalty he showed him. It also offered a glimpse into the complex inner workings of Gus’ criminal empire. While fans continue to express interest in more Breaking Bad spinoffs, particularly one centered around Gus, Better Call Saul demonstrated that such a move might not be advisable.

Actress Brey Noelle recently announced on social media that she will portray the villain White Rabbit in the upcoming season 2 of “Peacemaker.” Although the character is usually linked to Batman, White Rabbit has a rich background in DC Comics, making her inclusion in this mature-rated show intriguing for devoted DC enthusiasts.
