Although both “Bosch” and “Bosch: Legacy” are inspired by Michael Connelly’s work from the Bosch series, they do not strictly adhere to the original stories. Instead, these shows incorporate elements from various books in the series to form a cohesive narrative for the show. Characters like Jerry Edgar and Chief Irving reappear, while others, such as Honey Chandler, have expanded roles, and some characters, like Jimmy Robertson, are entirely new creations for the series. Despite altering the source material significantly, which some book fans may find frustrating, these changes are a key reason why “Bosch” and “Bosch: Legacy” have been successful.

The debate over whether Disney’s live-action remakes deserved all the buzz they received reached its peak with the release of Snow White. This film played a significant role in Disney’s history, as the original Snow White was created with genuine affection for the medium and celebrated classic fairy tale storytelling. With Disney reevaluating its live-action projects, the success of their upcoming venture is crucial. Fortunately, the next project on the horizon is a cherished property: Lilo & Stitch. However, how can this summer’s offering avoid the pitfalls that Snow White encountered? Well, it has already managed to dodge one significant hazard.

Disney+ has now unveiled the last installments of Andor, wrapping up the highly praised Star Wars series and looping the narrative back to the occurrences in Rogue One and, consequently, the 1977 original film. For some Star Wars enthusiasts, Rogue One holds a unique place, as while many admirers consider it one of the franchise’s finest, others are somewhat dismissive of it. Although opinions may vary, most can agree that the movie’s concluding hour, featuring the team reaching Scariff to snatch the Death Star plans, is exceptional. However, some argue that the film’s early segments, where flaws emerge and eventually impact the film’s ending, are less successful. The emotional resonance of the movie’s finale — a self-sacrificing group of rebels striving for the greater good to bring peace to the galaxy — is diminished because the audience hasn’t had enough time to connect with these characters.

Elizabeth Olsen has signed on for her latest major film role in the expanding ensemble of “Flesh of the Gods.” This upcoming project marks a significant addition to director Panos Cosmatos’ portfolio, having previously directed “Mandy” and “Beyond the Black Rainbow.” Joining the cast are Oscar Isaac, who plays Marvel’s Moon Knight, and Kristen Stewart, a former teen idol turned filmmaker. If these three actors were the only ones in the entire movie, it would still be a noteworthy production.

It’s reassuring to see that Stitch appears fantastic in trailers, retaining his design from the original animated film and even featuring Chris Sanders’ voice. He embodies mayhem and disorder but wrapped up in an adorable, plush blue form. However, there seems to be a slight issue with some of the other characters in the movie, as indicated by the first glimpse of Pleakley in the trailer. The same goes for Jumba, whose initial appearance Disney recently revealed.

On the flip side, some documentaries may be challenging to view because of their content or visuals. Yet, these difficult documentaries sometimes spark change. Unlike fiction, viewers can’t take solace in knowing it’s not real when watching a documentary that leaves them unsettled. Instead, they are directly exposed to the raw truth.
