Vince Gilligan, the creator of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, has a new show that’s quickly becoming a hit. It’s a science fiction thriller inspired by Invasion of the Body Snatchers and has already broken viewership records. It initially surpassed the debut record for Season 2 of Severance, and now it’s been seen by more viewers than that show’s entire season. Although Apple TV hasn’t released specific numbers, it’s difficult to compare its success to shows on other streaming services.

The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre feels disturbingly realistic, and remains terrifying even today. Though director Tobe Hooper returned 12 years later for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2, the sequel was a much more lighthearted and different film than the groundbreaking original.

It’s happening ahead of the release of Avengers: Doomsday on December 18, 2026, and honestly, it’s a brilliant move. Having two Avengers movies in theaters next year is a fantastic way to get everyone excited for Avengers 5 – consider my hype officially built!

Disney has announced that Destin Daniel Cretton, the director of Shang-Chi, will direct the first two episodes of Wonder Man, a new comedy series for Disney+ that he created with Andrew Guest. The series is a satirical take on the world of superheroes and Hollywood.

Denzel Washington and Chris Pine star in Unstoppable, marking Washington’s fifth film with director Tony Scott. Pine was coming off his breakout role in the Star Trek reboot. As with many of Scott’s movies, the film features a strong supporting cast, including Rosario Dawson, Ethan Suplee, Kevin Dunn, and T.J. Miller. Critics generally liked Unstoppable; Rotten Tomatoes gives it an 87% rating, making it the third highest-rated film directed by Scott, behind Crimson Tide and True Romance, and ahead of popular films like Top Gun and Enemy of the State.

While it never became as widely popular as shows like Lost or Heroes, The 4400 was just as skillfully made. In fact, it’s had a greater impact on later science fiction shows. Today, it’s remembered as one of the best sci-fi series that didn’t receive the attention it deserved.

Dick Van Dyke is known for his memorable roles in classic musicals like Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Mary Poppins, and Bye Bye Birdie. This makes sense, as he’s a remarkably talented singer and dancer. If you haven’t seen his performance of “Me Ol’ Bamboo” in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, it’s a must-see – the dance numbers are incredible! He also has a background performing on Broadway.

The series follows interconnected stories that unfold as mysteries of deception. Much like Sherlock, Jonathan Creek appeals to viewers who enjoy a good intellectual challenge. Each episode presents a seemingly impossible situation – like a murder in a locked room, a vanishing corpse, or a baffling clue – but the solutions are always brilliantly revealed.

Look, I’ve played a TON of SNES games, and there’s one from the early ’90s that just blows them all away. It really showed everyone what that console could do, and honestly, playing it now, it feels as good as it did back then. It’s a perfect game, a straight-up 10/10 for me.
