The Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC) allowed James Gunn’s Superman movie to be shown in theaters across India on July 7, 2025. However, they required the removal of 41 seconds from the film due to explicit content. This includes a 33-second scene with suggestive visuals that appears in two parts and an eight-second shot depicting an offensive gesture. These scenes will be replaced by a shorter, alternate version lasting only two seconds.

Since we can’t include all twelve Star Trek series, we’d like to acknowledge special recognition for Strange New Worlds and Discovery.

To begin with, I should clarify that this list has a certain bias, as it does not include any of the more recent reboot movies and only one film from The Next Generation era. However, these films are considered by many to be the cream of the crop, or at least the most significant ones. So let’s dive in.

Gunn clarified, “The character in question is usually playful, hailing from DC Comics. I’ve always admired him. For me, the start of the movie marked the commencement of his story. The inclusion of Krypto aiding him at the film’s outset added a fresh twist to this Superman film. It wasn’t like the Donner or Snyder versions of Superman. Instead, it presents a new take on Superman, featuring a flying superdog and eyes that emit beams, along with other superheroes. This world has been inhabited by metahumans for years, and though we meet Superman before he’s achieved his full potential, he is still the greatest among them.

During an interview on Flip Your Wig YouTube channel, the actor discussing his latest Christopher Nolan movie “The Odyssey” (releasing July 17), shared that he intends to shoot the next Spider-Man film using traditional methods by capturing real-life locations instead of green-screen sets and sound stages as seen in “No Way Home>”.

The upcoming biographical exhibition “Walt Disney: A Magical Life,” set to open on July 17, marking the 70th anniversary of Disneyland’s inauguration, will not only showcase a short film about the life of Disneyland’s founder, but also unveil an audio-animatronic figure representing Walt Disney himself.

In my opinion, Season 8 of “Rick and Morty” might be the best the show has ever produced, and watching the latest episode that referenced a show I frequently watch on Netflix only strengthens this belief. Given that I’m currently immersed in an anime and eager for the live-action Season 2 of “One Piece” to debut, it’s impressive how my favorite comedy series acknowledges and pays tribute to such a cherished series.

After the debut of Superman, DC enthusiasts are now focusing on several forthcoming DC Universe ventures slated for 2026, such as Supergirl and Clayface. Notably, the latter film is being helmed by James Watkins with Tom Rhys Harries portraying the main antagonist, Clayface.

A recently shared video from the movie set was provided by Bobby Holland, Chris Hemsworth’s stunt performer. The video primarily captures the cast and crew of Doomsday having fun, but the significant detail is that it appears they are filming on the temporal loom set, which can be found in the Disney+ series Loki.

In a recent chat with Sunday Mail, Chris Hemsworth (a long-time Marvel actor) revealed during reminiscing about filming Infinity War and Endgame in Scotland, that there will be no more shooting of Avengers: Doomsday in Scotland. This might mean that New Asgard won’t make an appearance in the movie since the real fishing village in the Scottish Borders served as its set for filming.
